Marksman Deck Performance Documentary

Oh no not another marked deck! This is probably what you are thinking. This is not just another marked deck, this is a tool designed by one of the best minds in Magic, Luke Jermay. Luke has created a deck that will allow you to grow with in your skills. What makes this even more special is the training that Luke provides with the deck. Luke has sparked my interest in using cards for some of the most amazing mind reading routines. I am now switching to this deck as my everyday working deck of cards.

I did not really enjoy it at all, the theatricals behind it are really boring and cheesy for me.
Holding hands, the candles and blindfolds just came across as a bit silly. Its like a 30 second trick made to be 5 mins long just for the sake of patter or storyline. I am sure some will love this sort of thing, but it wasnt for me, still for free someone will get somthing out of it, im sure. Just my opinon and we are all diferent.

Good demonstration of the use of this Marked deck. Very excellent creativity in Luke's routines! This is a lesson in how to build interest and mystery simply with the spoken word. By following Luke's example, there is no reason your spectators will become bored with seeing another "card trick" because his presentations and mental suggestions elevate simple card effects into magical, mystical and memorable experiences that your spectators are certain to remember for a long, long time!

Luke Jermay's performance is amazing, he is a brilliant performer, and a brilliant thinker, I suggest that everybody must watch this amazing performance. It is such a beautiful performance, to be honest, I won't spoil it, go watch this now!

He was excellent for using the cards and amazing using his ability to read the cards that he isn't touching or seeing. He really understands body language and eye pupil reading.

This is perhaps the best "special deck" purchase I've ever made in several decades of performing magic. Firstly, I'm not a "finger flinger" and never have been - and this deck doesn't require that. Beyond the ability to do a halfway casual false shuffle, which even I think is so easy that it doesn't really qualify as sleight-of-hand, there are no real moves involved in preserving the stack.

But here's the killer with this deck - you don't actually need to preserve the stack at all costs, because you also have the fallback position of a fully marked deck which enables you to perform miracles anyway. Add into this Mr Jermay's great advice on misleading those who may suspect a marked deck and you have a very reassuring level of security.

A terrific concept, and the product is made to a very high standard. I'll use this a lot.

The documentary is great! Besides the chance to watch full presentation of the routines, Luke explains the process on the creation of the Marksman deck, some of the history behind it, and justifies why you should not use this deck for the regular routines you already know with marked decks (even though it is possible).

This is really cool to watch. Jermay is a master at what he does and I learned so much from watching his performance patter and his ability to communicate with his audience. I will be rewatching this several more times!

The word "Wow" is the first to pop in my mind. Gone are the days of. approaching a friend or stranger saying "pick a card...any card" now you can create some everlasting mysteries and memories that will astound your spectator. If they don't believe in alternate dimensions or realities this can at the very least challenge their belief system to the core, just by using a simple tool like a deck of cards and their imagination.

This was a terrific video demonstration of the powerful possibilities of the Marksman Deck. I have owned this deck but only used it for basic marked deck type effects. The routines demonstrated here are really inspirational. It has motivated me to take another serious look at this truly amazing tool.

This is a great performance of Luke Jermay's Marksmen deck. This makes you want to purchase the marksmen deck immediately. If you have the Marksmen deck then you can take these tricks from the performance and put them into your arsenal. This is an amazing video to watch.

We have all been taken in with the overhype of some magic trick. This deck cannot be over hyped. I was a little concerned at first with what I thought was obvious, but after umpteen performances I have never got even a remark. He has several videos that shows how to use this deck for a complete show.
Want to look like a master mentalist/magician? This is the deck for you! I cannot recommend it enough. The first deck that allows a neophyte to put on a show with very little practice. No slights are used. The most advanced thing you need to learn is a false shuffle. I carry three decks that allow me to bring in anther deck should one of them become totally messed up. In my routine I set the deck on the edge of the table after the third or fourth trick and "accidently "knock the deck to the floor with my elbow while turning to talk to "Suzi" and not make a big deal of putting the deck back in a packet and then swap decks while doing the "Hypnotism" bit. It removes all doubt of anything funny with the deck and I have fooled even Magi with this move.

Its rare to get such an uncensored insight into an effect as we get with this trailer. I think it should be clear how high of an integrity this tool holds and the potential it unlocks. Watching Luke perform these effects truly feels like real magic.

As the name suggests, it is a full show by Luke Jermay using Marksman Deck. This show is free and is a fun watch. I have not used this deck personally and would like to buy it someday and try some regular tricks that I currently perform using the gt speedreader deck. Luke talks a bit about the history of this deck and how it came into being, which adds a nice touch.

Very interesting. When he or the spectators shuffle the deck, the following effects must not be using any stack, correct? Very puzzling. Will other stacks work rather than having to learn a new one? I am still a Si Stebbins guy.

It was stated by the Magician he was less a slight practitioner now than as a youth. But he did a In The Hand Faro. I think the man has more slight chops than he lets on. Think it sells the deck is easy to use. It take years to get that smooth with a faro.

I find that the combination mind reading, card magic, trance and clairvoyance added to the presentation contributes to the mystery of the presentation. As I reviewed the video. I could see myself performing this routine and mystify my audiences.
I will be purchase them as soon as they become available.

Altogether, the presentation and performances are quite entertaining...so well done, in fact that I will have to seriously consider purchasing one or two of these Marksman decks to amaze my family and friends with.

Very nicely produced show. I generally see "the move" or the dirty work in video productions of magic, but in this case there's really nothing to see. I understand the main principle used as well as having an inkling of what else is going on but the presentation of the magic is so direct that there's nothing to find.
Add to that the great articulation with which the scenes between the tricks are discussed and I have no doubt that the actual teaching video is stupendous.
This looks like a home run and something I intend to add to my collection very soon.

I enjoyed hearing from the creator of the Marksman Deck what his take on how you should handle the cards because the worst case scenario is you buying another deck. In my opinion it’s really a bonus. I appreciate his honesty and obvious love of magic.

So great preview for such a wonderful and powerful tool. Marksman deck is an absolute piece of magic. Gorgeously created and with so many possibilities included should become a basic for any magician. It's a pity that we cannot buy refills individually because this deck is going to become your favourite within your repertoire.

I like the idea of a marked deck that allows you to perform the amazing effects demonstared. This could be the golden goose for mentalists if the markings are subtle and undetectable to the average spectator, but easy to identity at a glance.

I think that this video is great, and i am so happy to get it for free. It would be great if every magician could learn from videos as good as this one! i reccomend it to anyone who hasn't watched it yet.

An extraordinary film! I was well and truly baffled at some of the outrageous card magic on there, and have no idea how different parts of it were done, particularly the bit where he is blindfolded. As I do with most performances, I would advise watching this, as this will also introduce you to different styles in presentation, which you will be able to adapt into your own performances. Best part is its free. Enjoy

Very entertaining docunentary+show on the Marksman Deck. The effects performed are direct and strong and perfect for a show of mentalism/mind reading with cards. Be prepared to showcase your showmanship skills!

Wow! What a fabulous show. I absolutely love his performance style, yet I could imagine the effects being done with different affects. I also like that the effects can be done strung together like this, or individually, or no doubt in several other configurations.

Two caveats:

First, to call this a “documentary” is a bit misleading. It’s really more of an extremely long commercial. Second, when I purchased the deck I was disappointed that not all of the effects from the film were explained in the instructions.

Neither is a huge problem, and the positives FAR outweigh any negatives.

An entertaining documentary. A strong and perfect gimmick for a show of mentalism and mind-reading with cards. I love that effects can be done together or as individuals. The combination of mind-reading and card magic adds to the mystery of the presentation. Its so great that you can try many different styles in presentation to where you will be able to accustom to a style that suits you. It is greatly created but should give you the option to purchase refills because you will definitely need them as you will routinely do this trick numerous times because it will become your fave. The fact that it allows you to make your greatest first impression in minutes is priceless. An excellent film!
