Not that you need any reason to confirm the value of The Definitive Sankey set of books, but this sampler offers an excellent glimpse into the wealth of magic that lies inside these pages. A highlight of the sampler is 'Madeleine's Mystery': a newer Sankey effect that proves one of our best living creators still knows how to pump out bangers.

I am really looking forward to reprinting of Definitive Sankey volumes. The sampler does not quench the thirst, but rather provides a momentary respite needed to cope with the waiting period until the date of release. At times it seems that Sankey has taken the shuttle pass to its limit and squeezed a boat load of tricks out of a David Roth move. But some of Sankeys creations are really unique and mind bending. That's why I found the sampler to be highly informative. I like how the editorial team designed the volumes with an overview provided by some of the top magicians. As a bonus we get the table of contents. More please!
