The Invisible Hand is the new name we give to an old device originally known as Hold Out.

You can do wonders in your magic act with this device. You can vanish different objects, change colors, sizes or shapes, cut and restore a rope, etc.; standing in front of the audience with your hands away from your body and away from the table. You can show your hands before and after the effect. You can do magic with balls, eggs, cards coins, silks, bills, watches, pens, etc. It is useful either in Close Up or Stage.

I had never before considered using a holdout, but in the 1980s I was a fan of Michael Ammar’s topit. I was convinced by the performances on the DVD, however, that this version of the holdout is more suitable for me than a topit. Eventually I will order the accessories to go with it. Meanwhile, I recommend this to all serious performers. As with the topit, however, it would be important to not overuse it.

Its very meh. The instructions look like they came from the 1950s; no video, just a PDF. The effect barely works. It only works on small objects and i mean small. Judt get a raven as this is a drawer sitter and not too practical.
