High quality sponge balls. They're perfectly round, pleasantly squishy, and retain their shape. I've used them for several tricks and they haven't let me down. Only minus is the packaging. They come in a plastic bag with some trick instructions in microscopic type. Once you're past that though, they're great.

I thoroughly enjoy performing sponge ball effects for kids as well as adults because sponge ball routines can be so versatile and sponge balls can be manipulated to make spectators believe the magic is real, especially when the magic happens in their own hands. Of course, for many years, Goshman sponge effects have been highly recognized as some of the best in the business. Goshman sponge balls are available in a variety of colors and sizes as well as a couple of densities. I recently ordered a bag of fifty Goshman 1.5 inch red sponge balls offered at a very reasonable price by Vanishing, Inc. Thanks to Vanishing, Inc.’s excellent customer service, they arrived in short order and safely transported in a secure shipping envelope. The shipping envelope was opened, and despite being packaged in a rather flimsy plastic bag, the sponge balls were found to be in tact (hey, they’re sponge balls after all!!). The sponge balls are Goshman’s standard, or “regular” density (not Super Soft) and offer a balance of softness and firmness making them suitable for a wider variety of magic tricks. They’re perfectly round, they quickly return to their shape after being compressed, they’re a nice vivid bright red color and have good bounce and responsiveness. I always carry a few sponge balls as part of my EDC arsenal and these are absolutely perfect for several impromptu sponge ball effects that I regularly perform. And, on occasion, I enjoy giving a couple of the sponge balls to a enthusiastic helper if appropriate. I feel that they may not remember me but they might remember the magic that happened in their hands because of the souvenirs they’re able to take home. I use the super soft sponge balls as well, but I’m very pleasantly pleased with the investment of the Goshman 1.5 inch Pro Sponge Balls fifty pack.
