Joseph asks: How strong is the signal? Some NFC tags work at a distance, some work even with metal interference. Does it teach how to justify removing a phone case if we aren't sure if the borrowed phone will be able to read the tag? Or would that action even be necessary?

You could then use that webpage/URL for a revelation or use it to quickly set up a related magic app (AnyWeb, Inject, etc.).
