You usually have to open with it, because of where it's hidden. You always risk spillages. You even risk smashing a glass or bottle.
To solve these problems, Henry Harrius created "Perfect Water Glass" and "Perfect Champagne Glass".
Henry developed these mainly because he wanted them for his professional shows. With these two glasses, you can now produce drinks at any moment during your performance with no pressure at all.

That said..... nearly half of the video is this trick coupled with one of Harry's other products. If you don't own that item, that entire part offers very little. In fact, everything that DIDN'T include that prop was called "bonus." It just made the entire thing feel like one big commercial for the other thing. In terms of handling and ideas, there is really nothing new presented. Several "appearing glass" presentations you've seen before, only now with the confidence of the tight lid.
A five-star quality product, but hopefully you have some of your own handlings/routines in mind.

John asks: Once the glass/flute is presented can a clear straw be easily inserted and the liquid be sucked up the straw easily?

Mark asks: He's calling it a champagne glass but it's filled with a still liquid. Can it be filled with a sparkling liquid, or would this risk blowing off the cover?
