Customer reviews for The Card Craftsman

James
This tool is just leaps and bounds over the one that came out years ago called the bullet. I have that one as well! Now, the idea of both is simple to start. Not all of us can do the Mercury card fold like other finger flinger cards men, so we cheat a bit; that's where tools like the bullet, as mentioned above, came in, but now the Card Craftsman takes this concept to a new level. It is more than just giving a pre-score to do the MCF. This little diddy allows you to have a deck press and cut cards in any unique way you can imagine. They include a spool of elastic thread, and the video shows how to make some fun gimmicks. So many ideas you can do once you understand what it is you have. It comes nicely boxed, all parts professionally made, and can be stored in the bags supplied or in the box. Did I mention you don't need to get the hobby knife? One is included in the set. Even if you only make flap cards, this tool is worth having.

The card craftsman is okay but I feel it is overpriced for what it is. It is accurate but it is made of a material that would get damaged if you’re not careful and if the edges get damaged then it would make it unusable. There are no spare blades and I wouldn’t call the spool of thread free when the price of the product is high. The instructions are very basic and the hole cutting part doesn’t even work for the tutorial so what’s the point.

I really loved the idea of this. The second time I ever used it, the base plate snapped in half. I don't see myself purchasing a replacement. Cool concept, not so great execution.
