It does what it is supposed to do. I was looking for something to keep my cards in good condition even when I put it in my pocket. And that is what it does. The pressure is great, because it really pushes on all parts of the cards evenly, so you don't get strange dents in your cards. Because it is strong plastic it is light, so good if you have it in your pant pocket.

I’ve used several of the metal clips In the past and was pretty skeptical that these could flatten out my warped decks but they actually work great! Not only do they protect your cards and reduce the weight in your pocket but they will take that annoying click out of your deck if you leave it in for a while. Love everything about them but not sure about long term durability only time will tell but for now I’m only carrying these clips in my pocket.

This is a great card clip and it looks professional especially the black one. It has the right pressure for card protection. I would recommend it.

I did have to squeeze my cards into it. I accidentally poked a hole in my back pocket with it once – oops! So, if you've got decks you really care about, it's a no-brainer. But if cards are just cards to you, it might not be essential. As a female magician with smaller pockets, it fits snug. Personally, I haven't had a need to keep utilizing it but that doesn't mean another person wouldn't. I also like that it comes in different colors. I would utilize the different colors for organizing (for example: red goes with the invisible deck, blue goes to Brent Braun’s Position Impossible Deck, black goes with regular cards). The Vernet Card Guard is considerably lighter than the traditional guards made of metal. It doesn't tear holes in my shorts or pockets, and keeps my cards flat as advertised. The ABS plastic that it's made out of should last, but will easily chip or crack when dropped. I was very disappointed to find there is a large center seam that holds it together by literal superglue. This will wear down over time, and won't last long with heavy use and abuse. The fit is too tight, and will gradually destroy your card case. I'd call this a card case instead of guard, because this won't really protect your cards. If your sole purpose is to only keep your cards flat, this is fine. If you require an actual guard, opt for a better quality one made of a more robust or durable material. Nothing compares to my curved spine Porper, going strong after 15 years. Mediocre guard... Wouldn't recommend.
