It’s been a long time coming, but The Card Magic of Nick Trost is finally back in print. If you’ve been around card magic for a while, you already know why this is a big deal. Trost’s work isn’t about flashy moves or knuckle-busting sleights; it’s about clever, fooling tricks you’ll actually use. The kind of material you show your friends, your family, or even at a gig, and they just stare at you, wondering how on earth you pulled it off!

This book has earned legendary status. For years, it’s been tough to find. Magicians would swap stories about tracking down a copy at a convention or paying silly prices online. Now, you don’t have to jump through hoops. It’s here, and it’s packed with routines: some self-working, some a little more hands-on, but all unmistakably Trost.

Inside, you’ll find page after page of card tricks that make you look smart without making you sweat. There are clever predictions, impossible locations, and a few routines that will make you laugh out loud when you see how simple the method is. Trost had a knack for that—making you think, “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Collectors have been waiting for this reprint, but honestly, it’s not just for the bookshelf. This is a book you’ll want to keep open on your desk, cards in hand, trying things out. Whether you’re new to card magic or you’ve been at it for years, you’ll find something in here that fits your style.

So, if you missed it the first time—or if your old copy is falling apart—now’s your chance. The Card Magic of Nick Trost is back. Don’t let it slip by again.

So stoked that this came into stock. The book is stunningly produced and the tricks are fantastic. Love the blue cloth binding. Check out Andi's favorites in the book posted on the VI blog, they are really excellent. None of the sleights are hard and within reach with some practice. Can't wait to get deeper into the book. It's really well written. Dont miss out on this.

So many brilliant examples of 'less is more' when it comes to amazing card magic. This Nick Trost classic is brimming with strong material that is often the most ingenious for being so simple. In some cases, simple enough that some magicians will overlook some effects entirely. Don't do that; you'll be doing yourself a disservice.

Hilariously my book came with the sleeve backwards and upside down out of the box. I’ve been waiting for a reprint of this for years and it has some great gems in here.

The master of packet effects, for sure. But this book is so much more. PACKED with useable effects that are simple yet effective. I only with they still made FAKO dry transfer sheets!

Had a digital copy of this book from the old L&L publishing. So I knew it had some good stuff in it but now that I've got the physical book I've been going through it and there are some real gems in here. The most pleasant surprise I've come across so far is a simpler version of Paul Harris Reset called Trost On Reset Page 200. Have just starting learning the original and now finding this. Hmm could be the beginning of a nice card routine. So far I've identified 6 items I'm interested in learning but there is much much more. All in all well worth the wait and very happy with my purchase and the service from Vanishing Inc.

I am so happy great shipping handling packaging and service and also great and customer report. They shipped it on time. I get the whole idea of a coffee table book style. So i do like the old book styles better. Books should be easy to travel and read. If seems all the books are transforming into being this huge built thick style. Kind of weird. The cover is kinda ugly also the original book looked a lot nice

This is probably my favorite magic book I own. I remember in the 80s and early 90s buying everyone of Nick’s packet tricks. The routines are quite simple get a couple decks of cards, red and blue and you’ll be set for about 80% of the routines in this book. This is a Bible for me.
