Discrepancy Poker

Discrepancy Poker is a powerful packet trick by Justin Higham.

Ten blue-backed cards are shown, and the participant is invited to freely choose between pairs of cards, five pairs in total. From each pair, they keep one and discard the other. There are no forces or tricky choices. When the selected five cards are revealed, they form a full house made up of mixed Queens and Kings.

However, when the performer shows their own cards, they have a royal flush. That's not all, as when the participant turns their cards face down, they have the same blue-backed cards from the beginning. When the performer does the same, they’re red-backed cards!

The performer then shows their own five cards, which turn out to be a royal flush. The spectator is asked to turn their cards face down again. They’re ordinary blue-backed cards. But when the performer turns their royal flush face down, the backs are revealed to be red.

This is a brand-new packet trick that uses regular playing cards (you supply your own; cards are not included). It can be performed standing up, requires no table, and resets quickly.
