Andi and Josh have done another superb job of creating a well crafted, written, and designed book which perfectly showcases John's remarkable material. Forget buying the next one-trick DVD save up, sell your Dippy Duck if necessary, do anything in your power to get your hands on this!

The essays alone are worth the price of the book, John's thinking on the One Degree subject should be required reading for every serious magician.

And don't under-estimate some of the more simple pieces in the book, I can't wait to try out Either Or and have some great ideas about how to use this to set up for further routines.

I laughed out loud after reading Solo, John's take on the Open Travelers is insane, I can't wait to make up the special something and can only imagine the weird eerie feeling this will give your spectators, it's one of those things you wish you had seen before reading the method!

And the rest of the book contains material just as good, I have been a big John G fan ever since the release of his first L&L DVDs and this book takes it to the next level, congratulations to all involved, you really need to buy this if you haven't already!

One Degree is one of the most interetsting book I've read in a long time. I want to try almost each tricks not only in the comfort of my home but with living, breathing laymen.

I'm already practicing Hommage to Homing and it will be on my next show and that just for starter.

The essays are required reading has it brings perspective I have rarely seen elsewhere.

The physical make up of the book is one of their best and it's a joy to read.

All in all a great read and I congratulate Vanishing Inc, for bringing to us such great works.

I purchased the first version of One Degree the day it was released. I still use so much of the material and it has remained one of my favourite books in my collection.

I love how John applies his knowledge and skills from the marketing and design world to magic and the proof is in the pudding. The tricks are fantastic and so is the theory.

This soft back version looks really good and at this price point, it should be a no brainer for any close-up magician.

I love this book and the idea of making things "one degree better" to improve the impact tremendously. The routines inside are really good plus you get some interesting essays which make you think about your magic and your performance. The style of writing is clear and the photos help to understand everything in detail. Well worth the money!

One degree is a brilliant book by John Guastaferro I had heard so much about this book that I just had to purchase it is not a big book it is 140 pages but any body who doesn't know Johns work believe you me you are in for a treat his tricks are so clever but at the same time are not to difficult to learn with a little practice you will not be disappointed.

I am over the moon that this was reprinted especially in hard back. Someone showed me a trick in the book and I could not get it as it was sold out everywhere. Every trick in this book is a winner. It's stunningly produced. The photos are excellent and the writing is clear. Get this before it sells out again

I've been drooling over this book eversince I saw it on a magic group post on facebook which is almost 5 years ago. Now that I have it, it feels like I finally found good reading material I can sink my teeth into. I saw other good reviews on youtube and I have to say, the contents did not disappoint. Great stuff!

the routines here are good, most of them impromptu (FASDIU) which I really like, and you can see John's thinking in all of them. My favorites are: Either or, Bidless, Mr. E and behind the back Triumph.
This is so good. Get it.

The book design and layout are outstanding, while the content is really top notch in terms of the presentations. John Guastaferro's thought provoking essays serve to illustrate a profound point of how marginal changes in patter, timing, structure can magnify the magical effect, evoke stronger reactions and create memorable moments. Guastaferro's card magic is very clean and incorporates good patter in an engaging way and aims to build a stronger connection to the audience. My top effects from this book would include "Truth in Advertising" and "Homage to Homing", but all the magic in the book is terrific. Highly recommended.
