Midnight Sessions

"The effects, methods, and his approach to methodological design are worth your attention. In other words, buy this book." Michael Weber
Midnight Sessions is a collection of 17 incredible routines by The Unnamed Magician, recorded during months of clandestine meetings. Inside, you'll find card routines designed to devestate both laymen and experienced magicians.
You'll learn a brand-new principle, you'll love revisiting classic plots with new life breathed into them by The Unnamed Magician, and you'll be taught a method for building up layers of deception into the tricks you already perform.
You don't just get one method with each routine, but multiple variations encouraging you to explore what fits you, your character, and abilities the best.
Midnight Sessions, produced by False Anchors, covers 300 pages and features over 100 crystal-clear photographs.
The Standard Edition features a cloth cover and exquisite foil-stamped artwork.
For collectors, the Special Edition boasts a luxurious PU leather cover, a cloth spine, and a matching cloth-covered slipcase. With only 250 copies, each Special Edition is numbered with an exclusive bookplate.
The Unnamed Magician remains anonymous by design. The book’s creators and collaborators have chosen to keep his identity secret, both as a tribute to the magician’s preference for privacy and as a way to focus attention on the quality and originality of the material itself.
Customer reviews for Midnight Sessions
I ordered the deluxe edition and was pleasantly surprised to find it included a deck of False Anchors Midnight Playing Cards. I had previously asked customer support whether the cards were included, and they said no—so the inclusion was an unexpected bonus. Considering the quality of both the book and the deck, the deluxe package offers excellent value.

Terry asks: What would the difficulty level be for this book?
- 1. Unnamed responds:The difficulty level is beginner level. Almost none of the effects use any sleights. The effects in the book are principle-driven, for the most part.
Robert asks: I'm unfamiliar with The Unnamed magician's work, but from what I can tell, a lot of effects are impossible card locations. Is there a variety of different effects in this collection, or variations on principles?
- 1. Unnamed responds:You are correct in that there are many card location effects. But there are other effects too, such as a pseudo-memorization effect, a prediction effect and over-the-phone telepathy effects (such as the “Mr. Wizard” plot). As for the card location effects, they use various new and / or unknown principles. The principles are also explained separately in the form of essays (scattered throughout the book) so that the reader can use them to create their own effects (meaning, they are not restricted to just the card locations taught in the book).
