I am worried about how much AI is used in this video. (90% of this video is AI, Outside of his talking) It shows, I guess, the original cover design in the video, which also appears to be AI. So, for the price of this book, how much of it is really the author's work and how much is AI?

I don’t doubt the material in the book. Although one could wonder why it is so expensive compared to the amazingly well made VI books for example. But I was also very shocked by the use of AI. It’s so… ugly. And we are making a living out of a live experience for our clients. This seems so counterintuitive for a magician to use AI to promote himself (and don’t get me started on the cover). You can’t fight the future. It’s already here. And there are amazing uses to AI. But badly done and ugly AI just shouldn’t be used to promote our art form.

How does this book compare to other books out there, on this same subject? Same info/material, but just re-hashed?

I can’t speak to every book on the subject, but this didn’t feel like rehashed material to me. Most magic books focus on effects, and many business books focus on general marketing. Jason Bird specifically addresses the realities of building and running a strolling magic business. As someone making the transition from hobbyist to part-time professional, I found the ideas practical, actionable, and directly applicable to my own goals.

Is this relevant for British Magicians, or is some of this only relevant for Americans?

Tyler asks: Obviously AI content was used heavily in the design and promotion for this book. And "looks" aside. Isn't the idea to behind AI to reduce costs of a product because you don't have to hire designers/ artists/ photographers? Yet this book is selling for $100 USD, compare that to many of the other great books Vanishing inc sells for a similar or lower price with design done by real people.
