X Ray Yogi

In Yogi X Ray, by Fraser Parker, you'll find Fraser's handling of Ben Harris's X-Ray plot. Fraser's version is clean and impossible, all while using a normal deck. Here is what happens:
A deck is thoroughly shuffled and handed to the participant. Under strict test conditions, they cut anywhere, turn over the card they cut to, complete the cut, and bury their selection. The deck is placed away inside its box. During this entire process, you are looking away, or can be out of the room entirely.
Despite these test conditions, you're not only able to tell them what card is reversed, but exactly how many cards down their card is! No fishing, questions, or even any modified cards. The participant genuinely cuts the deck anywhere and turns over any card, and yet you will still be able to sense the precise card they reversed and the exact position it now occupies within the deck, every time.
While this is the main routine, you'll also learn ways to divine a truly thought of card after your participant spreads through the deck and focus on one. Or learn how a second participant, after being handed the deck, can deal down purely by intuition and stop on the first spectator's thought of card.
Along the way Fraser teaches a pseudo memory demonstration with multiple phases, subtle structural ideas, and the latest theatrical refinement of his Card At Any Number effect, "Azlan". More than any single routine, you will learn a system, a way of thinking that threads through these pages, that turns a single deck into a tool that can be used to achieve multiple effects. It is a method of approaching miracles that has been Fraser's personal labor of love to articulate in this larger work.

Derek asks: I have X-ray, the original. I'd like to understand what 'extra' is provided here that makes this different. Without tipping, there's two key elements to the original. My question is: is this an improved method with regard to the spectator cutting, or is it an improved method with regard to the performer ascertaining which card was selected? (deliberately being careful here). Thanks folks
Petit-Lamy asks: Hi, Is the main effect done with an impromptu deck or does it need a preparation? Lastly, is the method 100% surefire? Or as the version of Ben Harris there is a slight chance that it could fail? Thank you in advance for your answer.
