What I found positive about this book, is that to be a working professional, you need to be immersed in the community of magic. I didn’t find much useful to make my magic more entertaining than it already is.
As I was reading Taylor’s life in magic, to have a magic consultant is best for the magician that does parlor magic. As a close up magician, I find that I don’t really need a consultant. I liked the idea of having a consultant, but I didn’t know that this book was a biography about his thoughts and insights into magic. So I guess I got value out of it but in a different way than what I’m used to.
