Wow, this is one of the best Masterclasses ever, if not the best. Aaron broke everything down to the basics and also presented some amazing effects. For those interested in the gravity half pass, and how to make a half pass truly invisible, as well as some great tricks to apply that technique, this is the masterclass for you. If you are into card magic, you absolutely need to watch this class.

Aaron is a patient and thorough teacher with a talent for breaking down difficult sleights and finding the little details that really matter for mastery. He also has an eye for the trouble spots in the construction of a routine and finds ways to avoid these pitfalls.
If you are a “card guy”, this is a Masterclass you won’t want to miss.

Okay, so what's the difference between didactic and pedantic? You can find out by sitting through the first twenty minutes of this lecture. If this had been advertised as a session for beginners, the methodical pace, levels of detail, and repetition might have been perfect. For anyone else, I fear that this is going to be a long, slow tedious ride. Example, did we need an hour's worth of instruction on the Gravity Half Pass? I would argue no. It could have easily been taught in sufficient detail in a third of that time.

Now, to be fair and transparent, I was only peripherally aware of Aaron through some of his published material and a couple of video clips on YouTube. I habitually perform a version of The Searchers and am a fan of the Gravity Half Pass. I mention all of this to accept fault for having not fully researched Aaron and his method of teaching prior to the Masterclass. Mea culpa.

If you are a relative beginner, I think this class and Aaron's style may be the right formula to kick off your card magic career. If you've been around for a while, it might be best to skip the Masterclass and invest in a good book. At the least I would recommend finding a few clips of Aaron teaching to ensure that his style complements yours.

If you are in to card magic and focusing on one sleight, this is an amazing class. Aaron focuses on the half-pass sleight and it's applications. His instruction is so clear and detailed. The multiple video angles used are very helpful.

He also discusses ways to use different types of misdirection. His explanations of misdirection are good in that they can be helpful in other card tricks.

Aaron teaches several tricks using the half-pass as the primary method. All the tricks are from shuffled deck. There is also a great color change in there.

This is a great class for learning the core concepts of card magic performance, while learning magic that hits hard.
Those shopping on a limited budget will find an information dense course, rich with moves and routines together with the tips and insights of many decades using them.
i highly recommend this masterclass to anyone looking for the greatest return, considering the limited free time most late starters have available.

This is a great introduction to the Gravity Half Pass for anyone who wants to start using it. I did this move before but this masterclass helped me do it better, as there are things Aaron and his team touch on which I was not aware of. The routines are great as well and they use a variety of other moves– so it's not only that! The only point is that Aaron's pace might be a little slow for some, as he is very didactic. Still a great masterclass!

This is my favourite MasterClass on card magic. First lecture is entirely on gravity half pass (almost) and few tricks. Second lecture has some tricks with the GHP and some without it. Now “BEST” is totally subjective. For me it’s the nuance of techniques that Aaron provides. You will not learn too many tricks but what you are getting is a system of his GHP.

I am not a card guy, so I was not sure how much I would get out of this class, believing some of the topics would be too advanced or esoteric for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised by my interest in and ease of comprehension of the topics brought up during the lectures. The demonstrations and explanations were clear and concise, while the camerawork was excellent.

He is clearly a very talented and interesting guy but this masterclass does not have enough material to make it worth your while to buy.
