Raving mad, having to learn this gem of a routine, prior to live 'actual' performance knowing how great it is to watch the bundle of energy known as David Williamson! At the card table, too!? Oh, Covid... go away!! Guess only one way to see it played out....

I'd give Masterclass Live Five out of Five stars!

I have watched a large number of Murphy's At The Table Live & Penguin's Live Lectures, both of which have some great lectures available, but there are some not so good ones as well. Vanishing Inc.'s Masterclass Live series is hands down a superior product for the money.

Number 1: You get three 1.5 hour (or longer) live lectures the each month with the same magician. This allows the featured magicians the opportunity to go into greater detail about their creative process, routine structuring, magic theory, magic history, sleights, spectator management, etc...

Number 3: On the fourth week you get to be in a zoom call with the featured magician of the month so that you can ask questions and interact with them in a way that other lectures just don't allow.

Number 4: The featured magicians often teach tricks that they have for sale as downloads (although they typically don't go quite as deep into detail), updated versions of their old effects, & they sometimes teach things that have never been seen by the public & are not for sale anywhere.

Those lectures are so great. In videos, we often miss the human part of trick's because more often than not, they presents the tricks only. I like the live aspect, the enthusiasm of the performers and the explaination about why this and why not that. Thank you vanishingInc for the great format.

I really enjoyed the class. I love David Williamson's thinking, his routining, his energy. I consider him to be the greatest magician performing today, and this Masterclass showed why. He took us through the history of the routines, how he changed elements of it, and why he had decided to change things. There were often alternative handlings for different situations, different preferences, or just different skill levels. Excellent material, very well taught.

great lecture!

Part 1: A fantastic pice of cardmagic from the beginning to the end, absolutely perfectly thought out!

Part 2: Not so strong as part 1 but a few good ideas and thoughts on the creative process and some stories. Unfortunately, the Visible Haunte'd Pack part is not included, which personally disappointed me.

Part 3: again some very strong effects with cards and a very nice coin routine!

If you are in the close-up area and especially love cards, you will definitely not be disappointed!

Just kidding. This was a really great Masterclass from Williamson and showed a different side to the craziness. The first class went over his gambling act and it wasn't really my cup of tea but there were a ton of points that I took away like the use of callbacks. The second and third classes were great as well as they showed us many unpublished, unfinished ideas from David. It was really great to get a glimpse inside his mind to see his thinking. I'm sure, no matter your skill level, you will take away a ton of information.

David Williamson is my favorite magician. However, there are some things that are a bit different about this series of lectures. First, let's just say it out loud: "David Williamson is the best." However, if you haven't seen him perform, Williamson's Masterclass is not going to convey how awesome he is. The production value is not stellar. Clearly shot during the Covid pandemic on David's own camera equipment, this Masterclass is shot primarily with closeups on Williamson's hands. That is not the best medium through which to see Williamson work. Williamson is a master of the offbeat and misdirection, and he cannot use those tools with this format. So, if you have never seen him perform, you will not realize how incredible he is from his Masterclass. Because he is incredible. Also, Williamson has made a career out of several tricks that he has taught in his lectures throughout the years, as well as in videos. He is clearly trying to show other tricks in this Masterclass. He does not teach Torn and Restored Transpo, the 3 Card Trick, his cups and balls, Money Talks, and other tricks that he is famous for. That notwithstanding, David has a wealth of knowledge, and his kowledge and touches are evident throughout this Masterclass. This dude gets it on a whole other level. So if you are a performer who can take concepts and apply them, then this Masterclass is great. Williamson teaches some great touches on palming, and his gambling demo is just great magic. If you haven't realized this yet, my biggest hang up here is that this might be someone's first exposure to David Williamson. You need to see Ridiculous first. Sleight of Dave is great, too. In those, you can see Williamson's magic as it is meant to be seen. In his Masterclass, however, you get some great conversation, some great pointers, a routine or two, and insight into how this man's mind works, etc. But if you have never seen David work before, you might have trouble putting into context what makes this dude SO special. Because, for real, he is the best.

This was a really great Masterclass. If you love David Williamson’s magic then I think you’ll really like this. It’s magic which he doesn't typically do. In the first lecture, my personal favorite, he goes over a fabulous gambling routine. It’s pretty long. But it can be broken up and preformed in pieces instead of as a whole. I really like the Bottom dealing demonstration he shares from Darwin Ortiz. The spectator thinks you’re letting them in on this secret and then it turns into magic and the rug is pulled out from under them. Great work David!

I am perhaps a generation ahead of Magic Dave in age, but far behind in how much I appreciate him in action!! I am from Montana; but my wife of 57 years is from Ohio; and her father is from Massilon. During one point of my later career at Boeing, I visited Wright-Patterson Airforce Base several times; and I was within striking distance of the young David Williamson. What a great performer he has become!! I have purchased whatever I can find of him in action! In this lecture/lesson, he is also most generous--though, too fast for one-time through. Thanks.

David Williamson presented three excellent lectures and the best Question and Answer session I have ever seen. His explanations were clear and concise. His presentation style was enthusiastic without going “over the top”.

The production value of his videos was excellent. As a hearing-impaired senior, I appreciated this inset of his face while showing his hands performing the sleights. This allowed me to process the sleight both visually and auditorily without missing important verbal information.

This is just an unbelievable act. A perfect combination of routines, techniques and presentation. I always try to get my routines perfect and never get it. This is perfect it is the holy grale of card magic. And that is only the routine or better show. What David tells you about magic will fill your heart with love for magic and people. I grew up with Pit Hartling and Nikolai Friedrich, some day Denis Behr matched the club. Denis and Pit belong to the best card magicians alive and I think I also can handle cards not too bad. We had live sessions with Juan Tamariz. But this card act here from David Williamson is in one aspect the best I ever saw. I mean the kind everything fits perfect together. And I only saw the first session right now. But this is worth 1000 dollars alone.

Every young ambitoned card magician I highly, recommend to learn everything you see here. If you got problems with technical sleighs go for a live session with David. He will show you how to master it in your personal style.

I never could become a professional magician. I had to deal with bad chronical illness since I was young. Lots of doctors, pain and lots of lying ill in bed... But when I can manage it, I love to perform magic. What a feeling being on stage again or at the close up table. And I love to see these great artists here in the vanishing inc. masterclasses.

And from all I saw and they are all great, David Williamson for me is the greatest. But from every artist here you can learn different unbelievable routines, sleights and insights in magic.
