For the first time ever, Homer Liwag has recorded a lecture for magicians...and he left no stone unturned. Enjoy more than 6 hours of teaching from the magic legend!
Homer Liwag is an award-winning director, cinematographer and artist that has spent nearly 30 years working directly alongside David Copperfield. He is a master of video and music editing, sound design, script development, illusion staging and theatrical lighting design. One of his biggest passions in life though, has always been magic.
Prior to becoming the co-director and design director for David Copperfield’s live Las Vegas shows and emmy award-winning TV magic specials, Homer was a working magician. He honed his skills in the bar and restaurant industry and is thrilled to share his most prized magic creations with you, as well as the vital lighting and video skills every magician should have.
"Homer Liwag's Masterclass" is one of the greatest values we've ever offered. You get three separate huge downloads, followed by a captivating Q&A that was recorded when this Masterclass first aired live.

A great IN DEPTH lecture on three coin effects (coin matrix, coins across and Homer's legendary "Coin One" effect.
Next, Homer explained his false f**o and utilizing the false f**o...and performed and taught an effect utilizing same.
Homer then gave an in-depth explanation of how to perform a "basic" f**o". (THANK YOU for that, Homer!)
The material taught was high-end top drawer material. So much so that the material taught would have EASILY justified Homer charging $100/hr for private lessons on same.
Clear, patient, repeated, thorough explanations shot at many varied angles. The cinematography was exceptionally well done. Clearly (no pun intended), the best cinematography to date on any of the MasterClasses.
IMHO, on a scale of 1-10, this Masterclass was easily a 15. So exceptional a lecture that, when writing about Homer's Week One lecture, MasterClass should be spelled out in all CAPS!
I can hardly wait until next class when Homer promised that he will teach his "Coin Two effect and an underused method for vanishing coins, etc.

I really enjoyed Homer's lecture and teaching style. For each effect Homer goes into great detail on moves, subtleties, spectator management, and alternative handlings. It has inspired me to brush the dust off of my half dollars and devote some real time practicing the effects he explained in this masterclass. He deserves extra credit for teaching both gimicked and impromptu versions of his effects. As a sleight of hand "purist" this was something that I really appreciate.
This masterclass also covers some fantastic in the hands false shuffle and false cut work which I am definitely going to be adding to my card work.
I already have coin one but there’s so many touches and extra subtleties he goes over that was well worth learning it again. Flash rice is amazing and I can’t wait to put the work in on that one and do it with whatever objects I find around me for a nice, visual, quick piece of strong magic
I am so excited for week two
Also I need to add that Homer is just a great guy I had the chance to spend some time with him and Chris at the beginning of the year at S.A.M and they are just two of the kindest and generous people I’ve ever come across

The video and audio quality is unmatched. Homer put a lot of thought and storyboarding into his Masterclass and it truly shows. It's been really fun watching all the pre pro work that he put out leading up to the launch of the first weeks lesson.
Part of me is a little bummed that it wasn't a "live" experience like other Masterclass formats, but at the same time, that allowed Homer to precisely choose what he wanted to say/show and it made the experience more efficient in my opinion.
The difficulty level in the First Week in my opinion was intermediate to advanced. Coin One was taught and that is a knuckle busting routine - not impossible but has some knacky moves. He goes over some card moves but primarily stuck to coin effects.
I highly recommend watching this Masterclass!
The quality of the class is just outstanding.
Excellent teaching combined with different camera views very elaborate and slow.
I love the basic explanation and then the detailed and finesse.
Also the fact he teaches methods using gaffs and then a non gaffes version is amazing as well. As for me at the moment believe it or not is the way to learn. I don’t have the turtle one needs.
I mean seriously I’d say Homer and Chris Kenner are obviously the best master classes ever.

I like the style of the lecture. To be honest: I bought many lectures and never watch them. This is different: I watched it right away!
A superb production of VianishingInc. and Homer. WOW!
Beautifully filmed. Very detailed. And the flow of explanation is perfect. First Homer shows the performance, than goes into the explanation and ends with details.
I wanted to stop trying to learn something with coins, but this made me sit back with coins in my hands. And I really like FFF. Haven't even seen the full second part, but it's already great and the third part still has to come, but it's already one of the best Masterclasses I have seen.

The camera work was top drawer. HD cameras all around...top, front, from the side and over the shoulder But, upon reflection, I'm not surprised. Who would have expected anything less from one of David Copperfield's top assistants/consultants?
Homer left no stone unturned in his efforts to completely and thoroughly explain everything he was teaching. His explanation of his legendary CoinTWO routine was no exception. Homer's explanations (and rationale) regarding the methods and subtleties utilized were slowly and REPEATEDLY performed from every camera angle imaginable. I was in absolute awe as Homer explained little subleties that he had developed (and added) to further hide the moves that were being performed. More than once I found myself yelling out kudos and simultaneously applauding at the computer screen in appreciation for something Homer had just revealed.
In addition, and with impeccable instinct and timing, Homer interspersed this lecture with little sight gags, verbal puns and repeated 5-second dog videos of his adorable dogs (as if one of the dogs had just reacted to one of Homer's puns or other jokes.
Although the material was repeatedly and clearly explained over and over again, there was just too much material to absorb in a single sitting. I was on functional overload by the end of this remarkable lecture. Thank GOD! that this material is available for repeated viewing and analysis by the subscribers of this MasterClass.
Other than the foregoing above-described, not much happened in the lecture. Nothing to see folks...move along...just move along. (grin) That said, I can hardly wait for Homer's Week 3 Masterclass.
The foregoing is submitted with the utmost respect imaginable.

Love both coin routines and the FFF. Working on all three...because they are "workers". I will never forget Homer's alternate pronunciation for FFF.
Certified fresh, will crab again.

I loved his humor and the best part was the reaction of his audience (three expressive and beautiful dogs :)) My dogs were equally impressed by my performances.
Third day was the one I enjoyed the most. Homer always with his great sense of humor. Thanks!
