A one-of-a-kind download from the official resident magician at the Magic Castle and bar magic master Mike Pisciotta.
Few magicians have a chance to perform as regularly as Mike Pisciotta. Performing multiple shows a night at the famous Magic Caste, on top of being one of the most sought after performers in Los Angeles, Mike has honed a fifteen-minute act to perfection. Polished through thousands of thoughtful performances, Mike is known for creating presentations that are tight, lean, and offer meaningful impact outside the realm of a simple magic trick.
We are so thrilled to welcome Mike Pisciotta to share some of his most prized routines and insights as part of a special Vanishing Inc. Masterclass download.
With the "Mike Pisciotta Masterclass", you'll get two full-length lectures covering a wide range of close up magic from card magic to coin magic and more. Given that Mike is a true worker, this is polished commercial material that is ready to be put directly into your set. The whole Masterclass is rounded out with a special bonus recording of a Zoom Q&A session where Mike answered questions about the most important details of the lectures.

Very good usable tricks were taught....I loved them all but I especially appreciated his version of "The Biddle Trick.". His simplicity of method(s) used in his tricks was eye-opening.
I loved his ideas on his use of the breather crimp. Great thinking there.
And, I loved his theory discussions...including how to get out of situations that go all wrong and blow-up in your face. His advice to always have a back-up plan (in case you miss your force, etc.) summarized it all.
Very very knowledgeable. Lots of practical advice. It was almost like "this guy" has been around the block a few times. (grin) You can tell that Mike learned a lot of his performance knowledge based upon his own experience "under fire".
And the more "you" you are the the more real the magic will be. But hey we've got to become better "you's" right ? :)
And his simple idea of how you must and how you must not greet your audience is a great reminder of really what your best "opener" should be.
He has structured this to the person who performs for family and friends and wants to make a move forward to more shows. And as he has performed over 10,000 shows - you want to listen to this guy.
They say the criss cross card force is one of the best in magic becasue the spectator cuts to the card. Well here he teaches how you can force a real cut to card or several cards. It's amazing and maybe even more amazing that for many it will be the first time they learn such a powerful and clean force. It's in his words 98 per cent realible but he goes through solutions if it doesn't hit and stresses how you must be prepared in your show for failure. Because whatever can happen will happen.
But for me his discussions on how he uses time as misdirection and his strategies and philosophy about feeling and creating audience energy and emotions are equally important if not more important than individual tricks.
This is why I got this masterclass.
He really really wants to draw you in.
If you get a chance to see his performances on line or live, you'll notice his tricks always end with people really amazed and thrown for a loop.
I think you will be able to apply his ideas to your whole show.

There were several examples in this week's lesson from his version of the Lost Aces to his "multiple selection" routine. The relaxed drop off from a double instead of a close-in cramped top change is another great example of his thinking.
Luckily I missed last weeks' lecture and now have that to look forward to.

From what I was able to watch, it was an awe-inspiring phenomenal lecture. Mike has definitely been around the block more than once...and it shows.
Mike was on fire! Lots of tips and practical advice erupted with volcanic force and frequency. His performance was a never-ending stream of consciousness. I was glad when he took a breather and slowed down a bit...and reinforced principles taught last week. (grin)
I liked his Birthday Book routine (particularly his idea of using TWO people in that routine. And, I especially liked his Zen Archery story that he used in his modular multiple selection routine.
A highly entertaining and valuable lecture.
As I said before, Mike's been around the block more than once and he exhibited the practiced skill and knowledge of a true professional.
Great job, Mike.
I'm saddened that we are almost at the end of Mike's Masterclass lecture and that we start Week 3 (i.e., the last week of the lecture) next week.
