Annemann: The Life And Times Of A Legend

Theodore "Ted" Annemann was one of the greatest magicians and mentalists of all time. Despite passing away at the young age of 34, he published one of the most foundational texts on mentalism, Practical Mental Effects, pioneered his own version of the Bullet Catch, and founded one of the most prolific magic periodicals of all time, The Jinx.
Half a century later, Max Abrams put together a definitive collection of Annemann’s work titled Annemann: The Life and Times Of A Legend. This incredible tome served as a biography, a magic book, and a tribute to Annemann’s legacy.
The book is as entertaining as it is informative. You’ll read every article that Theodore Annemann ever published, including many never-before-published routines, tricks, and methods. You’ll hear firsthand accounts from his friends and those who were fortunate enough to see him perform, see performance photos, family photos, publicity material, and, for the first time, see the extended photo sequence of Annemann performing his death-defying Bullet Catch.
After years of being out of print, we’re proud to present a new, expanded edition. This new edition of Annemann: The Life and Times Of A Legend has been updated not just with high definition photos, but with new material from Peter Turner and Richard Osterlind. These routines, which are linked to via QR code at the front of the book, include their favorite routines that have been influenced by Annemann’s work. From these two mentalists, you’ll learn a foolproof ACAAN, how to reveal the contents of an envelope sealed within a second envelope, a method for having a participant reveal your pin code, and much, much more.
Customer reviews for Annemann: The Life And Times Of A Legend
In spite of the advertized "highdefinition" photos, the photos in the original book far outshine those in the reprint. The only exception is the first photo in the book of Annemann.
So, if you have the first addition (L&L) and the Osterlind DVD series (well worth having) you are set.
For those who do not have the original book, this is the second best book about Ted Annemann and you should get it.
