Originally developed and used at Duke University for the testing of ESP, these easy-to-remember symbols, along with a commonly-used but secret numbering system, will allow you to create miracles:
Circle = 1 line
Cross = 2 lines
Wavy Lines = 3 lines
Square = 4 lines
Star = 5 lines

Joe asks: Just noting that the description is largely accurate for these ESP cards. The USPCC decks I received included 50 cards (5 symbols x 10 copies) + 3 double-faced cards (2 symbols each) + a card with a QR code to download magic trick instructions. The total is 54 cards, so the box is a standard size USPCC playing card box, just with "ESP DECK" on the front. One of the instructions is "how to mark your cards", so that supports that these cards are unmarked.
