Master Bell Command

“Master Bell Command” is a spirit bell that rings on your command, giving you an eerie and versatile tool for your magic and mentalism. You control the exact moment the bell sounds, but to your audience, it can feel like an unseen force is answering a question or making a choice.

Lay out a selection of playing cards, tarot cards, or ESP cards and place the bell in your participant’s hands. As they move it over each card, the bell remains silent. Then, when they reach the exact card you want, it suddenly rings.

Because the participant is holding the bell, the selection feels completely out of your hands. The bell itself appears to make the decision, giving you an unusual and memorable way to force a card, symbol, word, or other piece of information.

The same idea can be used to create a chilling living-and-dead test. Have the participant move the bell across a series of names and wait for something or someone to respond.
