The Mental Epic is a classic of magic mindreading. This trick uses a six section board. The mentalist secretly writes his/her predictions in the three top sections. The bottom three sections are filled in with three random thoughts from three different audience members. When the top three sections are uncovered they match the spectators' answers exactly!

Strong enough to close any show. This mechanical marvel is a professional piece of apparatus at a very small price.

It's a mostly well made product, I wish the dividers were made out of wood instead of the foam used to construct it. The gimmick is a bit loud, but it should play nicely from the stage. This board does require a force.

Brilliant easy to use prop. A classic in Magic. You can use a force or not depending on the routine. Ideal for stage or Parlour shows. Many people complain about the so called noise of the gimmick. Use your finger to control the gimmick, total silence.Been using this in the corporate market for over 20 yrs and it is a highlight effect during the show, cant speak highly enough, the cardboard covers are the best..the slide wooden versions nowhere as good...

The trick and premise over all is amazing! But it broke very quickly for me. This felt cheap and proved to be in the long run. I only got handful of uses out of it before the clips started to fall off. As another review said the gimmick can be loud and you will have to practice to make sure you can achieve the routine quietly.

If you are starting out and looking for a new effect this is great. Just make sure you take good care of it.

I realize it’s not completely expensive and there are way more expensive mental Epic boards out there, but for the price it could’ve been made a little better. I had to glue some of the pieces down because they came loose. It didn’t come with a piece of chalk, which I know is a small gripe, but now I gotta go buy a big box of chalk just for this one thing save your money and buy something that’s better.

The effect of this trick is excellent. Yes, the same basic trick can be done without it, but the Mental Epic board makes it much easier to do and more suitable for a parlor or stage show. That said, I am disappointed in the construction of this device. It is very noisy, although the one time I used it, the noise was not questioned.
No chalk, no big deal. I went out and bought some. It would have been nice to have the trick ready to go with a piece of cheap chalk. The instructions were clear enough, but did not contain any tips or routines.
I'm not sure why someone said that a force was not needed. As far as I can tell a force of some type is definitely needed.
