I am disappointed in this item. The color of the coin I received does not match the photograph. In the picture, the coins appearance is a bright, shiny brass. It is not painted, the metal just has that appearance. The actual color of the coin is a faded, muted, matte black, not even as good as the actual Tango black colored Chinese coin, which is a bright, shiny gloss black.

I was looking for a shiny brass coin as in the picture . The other review of this Tango Dollar size brass Chinese coin pointed out that it was not as pictured but dull and black looking. The coin that I received was indeed antiqued and disappointing. However I took some Flitz polish to it and had the Shiny brass coin as in the picture in a few minutes. I am pleased with it. So if you purchase this, it can be either antiqued or shiny, it's up to you. It is a perfect dollar size.
