Same question as Mark, as a beginner coin, Magician, how knuckle busting is this, and will I ever be able to actually perform it after practice?

You will need months of knuckle busting to get it down and then a few years to get it as good as it looks here. Anyone who says otherwise is trying to sell you something.....oh wait, they are! What’s the difficulty level for this - do I need to be able to “flex my muscle” in order to do this?

I look at it this way. Nowhere in the ad copy, does it mention the word, "easy". Without the use of gimmicks, any vanish this clean, cannot be that easily accomplished. And considering the length of the download, should tell you something. Its' a beautiful vanish, no doubt. I'm guessing this will take much intensive work and practice to make it presentable.

If you have interest in coin magic that goes beyond finger palming and the French Drop, you need to investigate this vanish. It is true this is not a beginner's vanish, but most coin magic is challenging for true beginners. If your coin experience includes other standard coin moves and sleights, you will recognize and appreciate the connection of the action and its comparable difficulty with your existing skills. You do not need to be performing at the level of Ponta the Smith and his Sick coin magic to be successful with the Entangle Vanish. For me, the secondary actions with his fifth variation are impossible due to my hand dimensions, but all the others variations are solid options. Some of the responses to the community questions give an overly negative impression about the difficulty. I liked the mini workshop environment that included his friend. His friend asked good questions and provided honest examples of how initial attempts to learn the vanish looks like. This allowed Kohei Oi to comment and correct his friend's actions.

This is pure magic. Its actually quite difficult to say why this is hard I believe it's about timing and very little hand movement to make it as innocent looking as on the tutorial. I have been practicing it quite a bit and the mechanics is a master lesson in sleight of hand. If you master this you will learn more than a coin vanish. It's a system, a way of thinking or philosophy so to speak. I think it will take many hours of intentional practice to master this. It's not something you are going to practice sitting in front of the TV

No "muscle flexing" is needed here (If I interpret the question correctly). I write as a hobbyist amateur who loves coin magic. Kohie has created is a terrific effect with many applications; aptly called a "utility move" with many applications. The tutorial is excellent and guest stars Avi Yap who adds value to highlight important points for the audience. Many different applications are meticulously demonstrated. This is not easy (translation: it is difficult). But perhaps not for the reason some seem to think. No mechanical move here is beyond replication and nothing here is "knuckle busting". Rather, it is precise timing, coordination, and hand control that makes it work as well as it does. A mechanically different coin manipulation that relies on similar kinds of skills is "coin" by Eric Chien. Here again very simple to understand and "do" in slow motion but difficult to perform perfectly. For both remarkable effects one needs timing, coordination, and hand control to do well. For me practicing with eyes closed helps. A small criticism is that I would have liked to see more use of a half-dollar-sized coins instead of dollar sized coins. Overall worth the price of admission if you like coin magic. Practicing this can turn into a low-level addiction

This is a coin magic video of the highest quality. Shot well, presented well, and packed with valuable content. Even if you don't add the vanish to your toolbox there is stuff in here worth watching. That the move is taught to so.done who does not know it during the video is invaluable because it allows questions to be asked about details that may have been missed otherwise. There are some comments below that are unfairly saying this is very hard. I would say this is much like a retention vanish in that it is easy mechanically, but the timing to make it look right takes a lot of practice. If you have a keen interest in coin magic then the level of practice and effort this vanish, and the routines that accompany it, need will not be unfamiliar to you, and is well within reach.

- 2. David responds:This reminds me of "The Sylvester Pitch" by Sylvester the Jester. Based on what I saw, the actual mechanics of this vanish are very straightforward, getting them to look that natural will take months at a minimum. Very similar to the pitch. I "got it" right away but it was a looooong time before I showed it to anyone.

- 4. Ryan responds:Not knuckle busting, but getting the timing and naturalness down will take lots of practice. Mechanically easier than most modern retentions, but a much heavier emphasis on timing and coordination so practice just goes into a different area.
- 5. David responds:James comment is not fair. It's challenging but it's actually very doable. The fact that he teaches it to someone else is extremely helpful. I'm just a hobbyist magician and I learned it enough to fool my friends in about 8 hours of learning.

Teaches an approach and philosophy to sleight of hand that will make ALL of your magic better, even if it takes time to master. . Beyond coins, the teachings are just as applicable to sponge balls - taking it from a trick to a miracle
