In 2007, Eric Jones released a set of lecture notes intended to be an homage to his idol, Stevie Wonder. The notes included magic targeted for laymen that magicians seemed to enjoy as well. Liberty is the follow up to Fingertips Part 1 with more magic and tips for the trade that will help make you a better magician and expand your magic arsenal of sleights and routines. All of the routines listed in this section are intended to be done surrounded, so you have no angle considerations.

2Coinz: The ability to make coins vanish and appear at your will using an under-utilized technique.

Entrapment: A very visual two phase, two card transposition without gimmicks. This really looks like trick photography!

Surrogate: A color-changing deck for the 21st century. A signed selection changes color, and then the backs of the entire deck change and all can be given out for examination. A real cooler.

Ode to Chad: Eric's slick handling of Chad Long's Oil and Water. this one is a perfect opening phase for your favorite Oil and Water routine.

Visual Oil and Water: Eric's hybrid of Oil and Water and Cards Across.

Plunge: A multiple phase coin and bottle concluding with the spectator being able to put the coin into the bottle. Plunge is simple, yet devastating.

New Era: A minor impromptu miracle. Borrow a coin, borrow a hat and let the fun begin.

Eclipse: A one-hand top change for the new millennia.

Enigma Change: A spellbound change that takes place on your outstretched hand. Visually change a coin into a key, finger ring, a piece of candy or any other small object.

Running Time Approximately: 1hr 57min

I'm not a coin guy but Eric is a beast at coins so if you're into that kind of thing i would get anything eric puts out. I bought this for the card stuff and I love how fun to practice the moves taught in this are! A lot of the things on here are individual downloads but are much cheeper if you buy this collection which makes it a no brainer for me!

Overall I liked this video and the routines taught by Eric. My favorites are his take on the Oil and Water plot as well as the utility moves Eclipse and Enigma Change. Although I’m not a “coin guy,” I can see myself maybe, doing Enigma Change because it’s really cool and visual. All the card routines and moves are all practical and good, but some like Entrapment (two card transposition) and Surrogate (color changing deck), I’m not sure are better than other versions of these plots that I’m already doing (IMO). Eric does include a really cool idea to change the color of the box as well as the deck in Surrogate which was nice. You might easily find these routines more useful than me. I feel like the camera angles could have been a lot better and the explanations were a little too long. All and all there’s something for everybody in this one. A nice equal balance of coins and cards.
