So the Bitcoins are the diameter of half dollars, but they look like they may be thicker. Can you confirm that they are the same thickness as well?

The ones I got via ebay are attracted to magnets....thicker than normal coins and mine are the size of silver dollars...which is what I want...they are easy to get used to and are very shiny and handsome..just a tiny bit larger in circumference

He mentions that the coins are magnetic. Does he mean the coins are made with a ferrous material that is attracted to magnets (like steel), or do they literally have a magnet in them?

The former, I'm afraid. They are a nice production though as artefacts - the size, weight and feel of half dollars. It's down to whether you like the presentational possibilities offered by the fact they purport to be 'bitcoins'.

When I saw these, I thought of the possibilities of using bitcoin over the old excuses for having a Walking liberty or Morgan in my pocket. Half the time people want to see the old coins and see if they are real. At first I was only able to get them in silver, so I checked them out and liked them enough to get the gold ones also, they all look great together. They are very close to a fifty cent piece and handle pretty closely. These are great as a conversation piece as everyone who sees them smiles.

These are lovely looking coins which come in a nice protective, magnetic closing, box. Its a shame you can't buy a mixed set in both gold and silver but I have enough to keep me occupied at present. The accompanying video instructions on 'How To Do Coin Magic' go on for more than an hour making this package great value for money.

Douglas responds:I have purchased these from Vanishing, they are really high quality, comes in a set of 3 and a padded case, they are the same thickness and only slightly smaller round then a half dollar, a hair maybe. Weight is also pretty close, it handles exactly the same. The edges have the reeding like on the half, quarter or dime. Hope that helps.
