AvH: Typographic Playing Cards explore the differences between two iconic sans serif fonts. Designed in the UK by Luke Wadey, AvH uses the form of letters and numbers to create abstract graphics, combined with clean and bold typographic playing card design.
A fully custom deck, the cards feature overlapping characters and selective cropping, to analyze the details of two infamous fonts, whilst creating distinctive and unique patterns. At first glance the fonts can appear very similar, but subtleties in each line and corner are what makes them unique. This deck aims to highlight those personality traits.
Influenced by the Swiss design style, AvH promises to be truly unique in your collection, whilst remaining functional for all users, particularly cardists who will enjoy the bold flashes of color during their routines.
