These fully-customized gems have been illustrated by the insanely talented Belgian artist Virginie Carquin. The totally unique faces and pips of each card center around the exclusive court cards, which have their own distinct theme on every suit. The Montagues and Capulets are perennially battling on the Diamonds and Clubs, while Shakespeare himself joins Romeo and Juliet on the Hearts and other significant characters from the legendary tale are depicted on the Spades. Countless hours were dedicated to meticulously ensuring each portrait properly captured Shakespeare’s carefully crafted personas. Bicycle Romeo and Juliet Playing Cards are manufactured with dazzling metallic inks on a premium Bee stock by the US Playing Card Company and come neatly sealed in a gorgeous tuck case designed by Nam Tibon (of Tally-Ho British Monarch Playing Cards fame). Each 56-card deck includes 2 Jokers, a special character outline card and a double-backed card.
