This deck of cards uses trees as an element connecting Eastern and Western mythology, including the Nordic world tree, the sacred Greek hollyhock and oak, the olive tree representing victory, etc. Japan also has a number of sacred trees connected to gods, and the Fusang tree is one of the sacred places in Chinese mythology and connected to the sun goddess. Trees have become an important element of world culture.
