Hi. im insterested in this fire book. it says battery so it doesnt need petrol? does the book burst into flames when i open it or i have the press a switch?

It does need fuel, such as as lighter fluid. It is operated with a switch.

What is the approximate size of the Bible? I noticed a replacement electronic available. Are you familiar with this one. Does the striker part go out often?

The overall size of the package is 9.8 x 6.3 x 1.0 inches—so the book will be slightly smaller than that. It has lasted pretty long for me.
