Broad range of effects and show styles from close=up to parlor: cards to mentalism taught by a master thoroughly with attention to technical and presentational detail. Well worth it Thank you Jorg for sharinng the benefit of your experience and knowledge. Looking forward to the remainder of the Masterclass.

Masterclass 1 was amazing! Included a broad range of nice commercial effects. Excellent teaching in excellent English. Very fine and effective teaching style. Pace was perfect. I was able to keep up with George. He mentions the origin of his various numbers and his personal handling of each of these. The camera angles were spot on and the sound was perfect. Could not have asked for a better learning environment. The various effects are listed on the VI site, and while I suspect that not everyone will be given to perform each number, the variety is there. There is some arts and crafts required at times. Looking forward to the second class.

EXCELLENT!!! He is an enjoyable master at the craft and has a natural skill of communication. His presentation shows these assets and makes them reachable by us. It's not going to come without effort and practice, but they can be obtained. I am looking forward to Week 2 & 3!

Indeed a Masterclass! The effects were varied, interesting, well-scripted and professionally delivered. In addition, and IMHO, more important than the effects themselves was Jorg's choreography and thinking process used in each effect.

From the start, on the very first trick, methodologically speaking, I was blown away at the deep thinking and choreography that went into the simple, but HIGHLY MOTIVATED NATURAL MOVES UTILIZED IN THE MISDIRECTION...all of which resulted the the perceived seamless moveless "there ain't no way" stunning coin vanish!

How stunning? Well, for me, had the class ended at that point (i.e., the end of the first effect), I would have been satisfied and felt that "I had gotten my money's worth" I just sat there stunned in what I had just experienced.

If truth be told, I was a little irritated that the class had NOT ended at that point because I now was forced out of my reverie and the overwhelming feeling of the wonderment that I had just experienced.

Reluctantly, I had to cut my trance short and realize that all was being preserved in a filmed recording for later use and recollection.

I'm not going to go through each and every effect but I will say that the next effect (i.e., the Salt Trick) was more of the same. The choreography and misdirection was as well-thought out as was demonstrated in the first effect.

Two simple effects elevated to miracles by the well thought-out highly motivated natural misdirection (i.e., the moves, gestures and looks). This was obviously not Jorg's "first rodeo".

Jorg is a wonderful magician. He makes everything look sooo easy that you are deceived into NOT thinking that he and his effects got to where they are at as a result of lots of deep thinking, experimentation and lots of runs and re-runs in his quest for the very best.

In summary, IMHO, now THAT'S the way a masterclass is taught...and the gentle reminder that that is how a magician should constantly be thinking and reevaluating each and every performance...in his never-ending quest for perfection.

It was a complete privilege being allowed to watch Jorg's Masterclass this morning. Up until this Masterclass, I had never heard of Jorg Alexander. Now, I will never forget him.

This is an excellent class. The material is very clearly explained and seeing the material presented to a live audience in the format of a show is very helpful and adds significance to the explanations. The choice of effects is also very good with a nice variety.

One should always pay attention when a professional is willing to share not just a single trick but a whole show. A great class, in particular because of all the attention Jörg has paid to the details of his tricks. Details that can be applied to a lot more than just the tricks he shows (which are all good tricks).

Wow, bravo. This is such lovely material, with all the rough edges sanded off. I was hoping I was wrong about the method for “archery” as it’s a gorgeous piece. Unfortunately I had it just right and it ain’t easy. Wonderful stuff though.
This isn’t just show off time for someone with serious technical chops though. I think the best part is getting to watch the full show. Jorg’s storytelling, particularly his use of pauses and silence, are the deepest lessons here.

His Masterclass is exceptional and the show as good as I recalled having seen it several years ago in the Wundermanufaktur (German speaking folks: visiting this place is a must). I am really looking forward into round number two and Joergs instructions on false bill counting etc. I believe that few have such a routine in their repertoire. Anyhow, I am already more than satiesfied with watching the show and masterclass #1.

I mentioned in a question that I've been a huge fan of Jörg Alexander for quite some time. I had read about the effects he performed in his books in the original German, but that was nothing like seeing them performed live in front of an audience! As a working professional myself, I understand just how important the timing and choreography can be. It was fantastic to get such detailed instructions in both aspects!

I can't wait for the next two sessions of this amazing Master Class!!

Superb!

Very clear and detailed instruction on money magic that is inherently interesting. No knuckle busting moves: that makes it approachable from a beginning level, but impressive enough for experienced workers to include in their repertoire.

Again, the second MasterClass from Jorg was tremendous! Very strong material and very comprehensive explanations delivered at a comfortable pace with his excellent English. I enjoyed his first two sessions very much and look forward to his live session in order to get some further pearls on techniques and refinements. Very well done, very enjoyable, and highly recommended!

Once again, phenomenal! Jorg is easy going and inviting. He includes the audience and makes sure that they are a part of the presentation. His lecture is educational and makes the slights and skills achievable.

I really enjoyed this format with the full performance show. It's also great that he talks about the structure of the show and the reason why he is doing things the way he did. Excellent material! Looking forward to the Q&A!

Incredible Card Magic and A Little Mouse

I first met Mr. Alexander many years ago at an S.A.M. national convention that we were both working. He was incredible then and has only increased in knowledge and skill. This is a great Master-Class . . . but wait there’s more!

If you didn’t attend the party celebrating three years of master classes right before the Zoom class, you missed something that will never be seen again. And that’s the way it should be. Ten years from now there may be thousands or tens of thousands of people claiming they were there. But for those of us who really were there, it was a moment we will never forget (no matter how hard we try). Back to the class.

One of the great additions to this class was a film of Mr. Alexander’s show. Seeing these pieces done before laypeople is a wonderful way to get a sense of how the magic actually “feels.” This is a terrific addition to the class and I would like to see more of this.

After watching the show, there were a number of really wonderful things in this class; lots of new sleights and nuances on old ones. The trick of the class, however (for me at least), was not a card trick. In fact it uses almost no sleight of hand. It was a trick with a mouse. To anyone who is working close-up/walk-around this is GOLD. Under the right circumstances, I could see doing this and one or two other pieces the whole night.

If you just want moves, not that there’s anything wrong with that, this class will not disappoint. There is enough difficult material to keep you practicing for quite some time. It’s not often that a class can deliver both killer sleight of hand as well as a wonderful children’s routine. Mr. Alexander does that and more in this class.

This is so far my favorite masterclass to date. Jorg is amazingly talented and what a fresh of breath air to see a show performed prior to the explanation. I got a lot of insight from this masterclass. I hope Vanishing inc. does more lectures in this format, being the show then lecture. There is so much to learn from watching a person who has thought through the structure of presenting a show, not just effect, explanation, effect, explanation…

Incredible Masterclass from a worker!
all the material is well performed and well thought through. I use in my repertoire a few of his routines, and they are well constructed with high-impact.

Jörg Alexander gave a summary of his art with very cool magic. He masters misdirection very well and showed his handling for several classics, and this was beautyful. He also payed tribute to Rene Lavant with an amazing one cup and balls routine where fun and sensitivity occured together. The highlight of the show was of course Jörg'h handling of Mac Donald's aces ("Fantastic Aces"). Thank you for sharing this moment with us.

Alexander is a true master of his art. And a skillful teacher as well. I can highly recommend his Vanishing Inc. lecture. And the fact that you get to see a full show, what a treat!

Jörg's magic is a great example of well-thought-out routining. I'm glad that he has agreed to share his magic with us on a masterclass. He sets a high bar for tight presentation.

This is my first Jörg Alexander teaching I've got. I give it five stars because the teaching is wonderful, clear and precise. Also, the routines he performs and teaches are all quite strong and practical. One of which I will definitely use and another one that I might give a try in the future. You get a lot from the routines, and the thinking behind them.
