An incredible more than 3.5 hour download from one of the most in-demand magicians and comedians in the world.

Nick Diffatte's ability to seamlessly blend dry humor, quick wit and perfect comedic timing with truly impressive magical chops elevates his performances well beyond the realm run-of-the-mill “comedy magic”. Now, as part of this special download, he's sharing some of his best secrets!

A Vegas mainstay with multiple long-term residencies under his belt, and one of the only magicians Mac King trusts to fill in for him at his iconic show, Nick is a true star. He’s a regular at the Magic Castle, has appeared on the Late Late Show and has also been the headliner on multiple Disney Cruise Lines voyages. For many of you reading this, you might remember him best as the guy who got a ground-shaking standing ovation at Magifest.

So, you’re in for a real treat as Nick shares a treasure trove of material that is not only super practical but is also filled with invaluable insights on how to construct a unique presentation that is truly entertaining. Even the tricks you might not see yourself performing will still offer key pieces of wisdom you can apply to material you already do.

Customer reviews for Nick Diffatte Masterclass

Avrohom
Fun, and very clearly explained.
Leonard
Excellent explanations while leaving room to make each of the effects your own!!! Good job, Nick!!!
Fredrick
Wonderful first session. Great material delivered with humor and detailed explanations.
Marc
This Mastercklass is fantastic and I learn a lot very good ideas that I will use in my Magic show. The rope and dye silk where really fantastic.
Jim
Classic magic with clever adaptations.DEFINITELY worth a look see.
Jay
Nick's creativity shines through in taking respected and practical magic effects those two or three steps further and making it tailored to his persona on stage. I like his encouragement to discover effects--or modify them--to fit you.
Frank
Great Masterclass No 1 with Nick Diffatte. I very much appreciated his attention to detail and very clear explanations and demonstrations. Some of his effects were straight out of Offbeat. Other effects required arts and crafts which I do not usually have time to do. My objective is to pick up and perform just 1-2 effects from each session. So far Class 1 is a success in this regard.
Rod
Nick gives a great insight to playing with our personalities and making magic happen.
I love the fact he shows his home time set ups / trails with props and makes it sound like he’s not a cool guy but a nerdy unsure person, which he’s obviously not .
This too shows how playing with your own persona and creating character is super important.
Personally I really enjoyed his teachings and methods even though I knew nothing of him before seeing this class available with VI.
If you enjoy comedy and learning about yourself as well as learning from others I totally recommend this masterclass…. Funny comes from you in your style, you can watch and learn from others but you can’t be them, you are you and he really sends that home.
Good job. Thanks .
Wayne
Best Masterclass ever! Nick delivered practical material that once adapted to my style will go into my standup act. The cut and restored rope and the “half” dyed are real workers. I’m looking forward to week 2! I hope future Masterclasses focus on parlor/stage topics.
Newell
Rope moves were difficult to follow. Not something i do pr have done in a long time. I understand the inhaler and the nerd like statement it makes. Bounce no bounce idea was clever. Agree. Why are you carrying this around. Seems repeating gypsy switch would allow you give normal ball back tonsoectator. Already do the Scott Alexander version of chameleon silks. Like bigger payoff. Lots of work with the LePaul envelope substitute.Would need lots of sets for repeat performances/walkaround. Have other card to imoossible location. Might reserve this for one time special audience.
John
After just the first Master Class you get your money’s worth. So everything else is bonus!!

From the explanation of his rope effect, to his routine with the Bounce/Non-Bounce balls, you will find many things that you can include.

More importantly, you will find nuggets of advice that helps in your day to day existence as a performing magician.
Michael
It’s like sessioning with a close friend. Nicks demeanor is welcoming and familiar, he makes me want to jump in and start doing what he’s teaching. Excellent class, keep it up! There’s a reason why the top pros are hanging with Nick, he’s apparently someone you’d want to hang out with… and this class might be you’re best shot at that!
jay
nick is a real guy doing real things. there's no pretense... he's just showing you what he's doing and telling you what he's thinking. personally i find it really hard to be that simple and honest. he's very open and organic, honest and accessible. and he's aware of what's going on around him, its very refreshing to watch.
Clifford
Excellent. What a wonderful talented performer and teacher.
Avrohom
Firstly, I can watch this guy for hours. He is so interesting, entertaining, laughs at himself, and fascinating. He is quite knowledgeable for his age, but so humble.
Second point. Normally, people are either great writers, or great speakers. Seldom do you find the fine author to also be the riveting speaker. Well Nick has done both successfully. I loved his book and now love listening to him speak.
Another point. The arts and crafts he teaches, is so much fun to do. Never mind you are making props for really cool original tricks. You will actually enjoy making and playing with them.
Fourth. There is no standard material here with a better twist. This is all new ideas.
Thanks Nick.
Chuck
Nick is such a magic whiz! He is simple with his explanations. He has a very "matter of fact" presentation style. He's very likable. His magic is "in your face" and "right beneath your noses." You don't see it coming, it's a thoughtless interjection into his communication and then "BOOM!," a miracle has just occurred. I really enjoy learning from him and hope to see him in a lecture of one of my upcoming conventions!
Steven
Let me say that I like Nick. Was underwhelmed by the material shared. Not that he didn’t share tricks, but was hoping for transformational insights, rather older material that felt recycled for the masterclass. Still have the Q & A…maybe the gold is there.
Jonathan
Nick's work is absolutely terrific. I loved seeing some of the best effects in his book performed and taught. And I must say as a fellow "smaller hands" magician (well, narrow hands anyway), I am really liking the work taught on the diagonal palm shift. I'm going to use that! Thanks Nick.
Robert
Fantastic thinking and such a wide range of knowledge. Nick’s background is way beyond what you’d expect from someone his age! Excellent information and perspective!
Ron
This is one of my favorite Master Classes, and I watch them all. The tricks are clever enough but what I really like is the theory and approach to magic and comedy. The find your Elvis is both brilliant and helpful.
Laura Bautista
Ropes, handkerchiefs, balls, envelopes, billets and a lot of humor. A classic magician like never seen before. Nick is a stage genius, he handles the audience in an amazing way and renews classic repertoires with tremendous mastery. In this job it is super important to differentiate yourself from the rest and he proves it in spades. His teachings are detailed and he takes great care to repeat until it is clear. A luxury of a teacher and two super fun weeks.
Cameron
I must say I have always been a fan of the Nick Diffatte style. After reading his book and purchasing some props from him directly I am already a fan.

I purchased this masterclass to learn the inhaler effect for my show.

Everything else is just a bonus.

Worth every penny, if you like comedy, stage, parlour or just magic in general this is the perfect masterclass for you.
Guillaume
Nick is a talented magician, he shares some good insight on how he works and why some tricks suit him and others not, even when stronger.
Brandon
Decent effects though some are more character-driven, so may not fit everyone. However, even if it doesn't meet your character, you can gain insights into how Nick's thinking let him evaluate his effects to update them and alter them more to fit his character.
Oscar
The teaching style is relaxed and conversational, like you’re hanging out backstage with him rather than sitting through a stiff lecture. He talks a lot about presentation choices, comedic structure, and how to build magic that feels genuinely entertaining instead of just “tricks with jokes attached.” Even if you don’t see yourself performing every routine, the thinking behind them is incredibly valuable. You walk away with ideas you can plug right into your own material—not just rewrites of what he does, but real insights into timing, character, and misdirection through humor.

The bonus Q&A video is a nice touch too. It feels less like a formal wrap-up and more like picking the brain of someone who’s actually working constantly—Vegas stages, Magic Castle sets, cruise ships, and everything in between.

Overall, the Nick Diffatte Masterclass is one of those downloads you can watch, enjoy, and genuinely learn from. If you’re someone who wants their magic to feel funnier, more original, or just more “you,” this is time very well spent.
