Nova Rings

“The Nova Rings are the perfect modern solution to this plot. Along with Carisa’s presentations, these rings are the perfect addition to everybody’s repertoire.” Asi Wind
“The Nova Rings add the design feature we have all desperately wanted! If you have explored similar gaffs, from traditional Himber to high end Porper you will be thrilled to see that special “something” that has always been missing but so logically needed has finally been made available. They look good, work well and allow for an ease of handling simply not possible with any other design.” Luke Jermay
“Carisa has performed the Himber Ring more than anyone in the last ten years, and Nova Rings is the culmination of that experience. Thoughtfully designed, beautifully made, and built to solve the real problems performers face. Highest recommendation.” Nick Locapo
“The Nova Rings are beautiful and ingenious! Carisa’s teaching video is thoughtful and generous. She explores the multiple presentations and handlings, shares history, gives proper credits, and shares insights that are too often absent from modern instruction. The specially designed case allows you to "get in and out" of the routine with ease and grace, keeping the focus your performance. This is precision crafted magic, created with depth, respect, and a true love for the art.” Jeff McBride
"The perfect magic gimmick, paired with a stellar magic routine that anyone can perform." Dave Kaplan
The Linking Finger Rings is one of the most intimate and powerful pieces of magic you can perform. But its methods have always had compromises. After years of struggling with existing gimmicks, Carisa Hendrix (the person behind the social media sensation Lucy Darling) set out to create a version with cleaner linking and unlinking that would fit a modern audience. The result is “Nova Rings”, the most visual and by far the easiest version of the Linking Finger Rings ever to be created.
Three rings are borrowed from the audience. You take two of the rings, give them a squeeze, and instantly link them together. The third ring you tap against the other two, and it visibly links onto them. Then, just as easily as they linked, you can unlink one of the rings and give it back immediately. To unlink the last two, you ask the ring’s owner to hold out their hand, and they watch as their ring melts right off. It’s that clean. There are no awkward moves; just clean, pure, magic. Don’t believe us? Watch the trailer and see what "Nova Rings" are capable of.
"Nova Rings" are exquisitely engineered to be the best Himber Rings out there. This new gimmick allows for links and unlinks that were previously impossible. You can have the rings melt off your finger, place them in your palm and squeeze them to link them, or even toss them onto the stem of a wine glass. Carisa personally tested over a dozen prototypes to ensure they’ll withstand anything you can throw at them and look great while doing so.
The rings are modeled after the profile of a popular metal band and fitness tracking rings (such as Oura Rings), which makes any switch virtually imperceptible. The rings are indistinguishable from what you would find on your audience’s fingers, and the minimalistic design removes any sense of a gimmick being in play.
Each set of "Nova Rings" includes all three gimmicked rings (black, gold, and silver) and matching ungimmicked rings. Everything is designed to be transported in the included case, which not only stores the gimmicks and non-gimmicked rings but can even help facilitate the secret move. You’ll also receive detailed video instructions from Carisa on the rings’ history, ideas, and, of course, routines. Carisa insisted that we include five live performances so that you can see different variations of her routine and how she adapts it to different venues. But you don’t have to be Lucy Darling to pull off these presentations; they are designed to be used by any performer, regardless of your style. (But if you are Lucy Darling, it would look something like this!)
Carisa’s precision-engineered gimmicks are based on Pete Biro’s “Ghostly Finger Rings” design and is used with permission from the Joe Porper estate. This unique design allows you to use normal-looking rings instead of the clunky signet rings typically used for this effect. When it was released in the 1990s, just one of the “Ghostly Rings” retailed for $700. In this set, you get three. Carisa’s changes to the design allow you to do clean links and unlinks, and you can even use the "Nova Rings" close-up and right in front of the audience’s noses.
"Nova Rings" is a guaranteed show-stopper. This is one of the most talked-about pieces in Carisa’s shows, and now it can be one of the most talked-about pieces in yours. Get yours exclusively at Vanishing Inc. today!
Included: Three gimmicked rings, three matching regular rings, and the custom holder designed to transport the rings and be used in performance.

The tutorial quality is top notch and well thought out. Carisa is an amazing teacher and breaks down everything step-by-step as it relates to the logic, psychology, nuances of each performance handling - 2 stage handlings and one for closeup as well.
Overall, the Nova Rings are definitely a "worker" prop which I highly recommended for any magician looking for a linking finger rings effect. The Rings solve many of the traditional problems with the classic Himber rings effect and provide a practical, reliable, and highly deceptive tool for creating powerful magical moments of astonishment and wonder for your audience. Add them to your magic arsenal today!
I’ve never purchased something faster. Nor have I been this excited since I saw my first show as a kid and decided in that moment to learn about magic. Building on so many innovations that came before, Carisa and VI have accomplished something truly spectacular. Additionally, for those like me who already have and love Regal Rings, I can confidently say that you'll want to add Nova Rings to your arsenal.
I was interested in purchasing a Himber ring; however, when I saw one up close it looked different than all the rings I've seen and it was really expensive. As years when by, the cost for one ring never improved and the rings didn't (to me anyway) look like a common ring that people wore.
When I heard of the Nova Rings, I did not take note of the item because of its cost until I saw a review, which then led me to look into it a bit more. I was amazed at the linking of the rings with ease int its handling, a problem which was a problem even I saw in performance of this effect in the past. The one effect that sold me on this item was holding two separate rings in the hand, closing the hand and when the hand was opened the rings were linked.
While the cost of this effect is high, you are getting a lot of quality hardware for your money. You're not getting one, not two...but three gimmicks and three matching solid rings. The gimmicks are precision made and how they are used in performance is ingenious. You are also getting a 'pencil' cup which is used as a utility device and it also serves as storage for all six rings. Everything included in this set is of excellent construction and quality.
Carisa provides an excellent tutorial on how to use and perform this multi-phase effect. Her explanations are succinct, easy to understand and she adds all her experienced performances as performing tips.
If you've been considering a linking finger ring effect, look no further, this is a great choice.
The bigger the audience - almost for sure you'll hit a match.
It would have nice though to all about this on the project. When you borrow valuables or personal items I do get a little worried. And it would have been nice to hear about some difficult expereinces or do's and don'ts. And ultimately worse case scenario protections.
The performances are amazing and really show how powerful a walk into a crowd can be. That was very instructional.
The rings do give a great topic for conversation, comedy and emotions.
But I was curious about the stooged aspect of such performances. And I am curious to how many past performers borrowed rings to audience members, How was this done ? What should be said ? Just feeling that by giving a non gimmicked ring to someone and then ringing in the gaff might be cool. The tradional ways were not discussed and pre showing or stooging were not discussed.
It's straight up - you're going to convince all no switch could take place. Which is very strong. But will take great audience management and performance.
Look forward to my journey with these.
