Pocket King

Pocket King is one of the smartest pocket indexes we've seen in years.
Most pocket indexes, however well designed, have the same problems. The number of cards they hold are limited. They only can produce folded cards. Or they ask you to do the one thing that spectators notice most: dig into your pocket.
Darryl Vanamburg built Pocket King to solve those problems.
This is a full 52-card index no larger than an ordinary deck of cards. With it, you can produce any card, seemingly without ever going into your pocket. Your hands stay visible.
Even better, Pocket King works with most pants, jeans, and shorts, so you are not tied to one outfit or special setup. And unlike many indexes, you are retrieving a normal unfolded playing card ready for immediate use.
That means stronger reveals, cleaner productions, and routines that feel like real magic.
What can Pocket King do?
- Name any card and make it appear from nowhere.
- Deliver a named card to an envelope.
- Produce a named card from a phone.
- Build impossible revelations into your existing routines.
Why You'll Love It
- Full 52-card index
- Secret steals that look invisible
- Hands remain in view
- Works with jeans, shorts, and most trousers
- Uses normal unfolded cards
- No sleeves
- No holdouts
- Practical for real-world performance
Pocket King comes with the index and plus more than four hours of instruction with live performances and detailed tutorials.
If you have ever wanted the power of an index without the usual compromises, Pocket King may be the one you've been waiting for.

Darryl asks: @Marco Vanishing Inc team member has answered this question already for you??…to add more insight - the pant you are looking for is called “five pocket style” casual dress style…here is a few links to lead ya down the right path: https://shorturl.at/0Lw9i https://shorturl.at/j0TFU https://shorturl.at/ha1Kg Hope this helps …cheers!!
Marco asks: Hi Darryl, I have a question about the cut of pants pockets. I see that you use casual pants or jeans with “high” pockets that have an almost horizontal opening. I mainly wear dress pants with welt pockets, which have an almost vertical opening. Is it possible to secure and operate the PK with this type of pocket, or is it better to use jeans-style pockets? Thanks!
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Hi, a jeans style pocket is required for this, Casual pant pockets will not work
Richard asks: IMPORTANT QUESTION! Will more be available soon? Lol
- 1. Darryl responds:Yes
Richard asks: Is this also a durable device? I.e will I be able to sit comfortably with it in my pocket, and when loading the cards into the gimmick slots, are the separations made solid enough to not break from “stress “ of the cards. I’m ready to be ordering this soon! Thnx so much.
- 1. Darryl responds:Yes, yes and yes….over 6 years of R&D Thanks for your question ??
- 2. Darryl responds:Not sure why it keeps putting question marks after my answers sometimes …lol cheers
- 3. Darryl responds:It is very durable - extensive testing on it ….you asked about back pocket use ….although it works in back pocket - I would not sit on it applying all your body weight to the index is all…move it to your front pocket when about to sit down if you plan on using it in your back pocket is all… cheers
Richard asks: Silly question, but can this also be accomplished in a back pocket?
- 1. Darryl responds:Good idea ….lol….just tried it …..yes worked well too.
Jose L asks: Is this trick for beginners or intermediate?
- 1. Darryl responds:Both beginner and intermediate…..My son is 15 and he is not a magician whom has learned it well….so a non magician age 15 playing with the index I’d say he had it down with-in 2 weeks….but someone familiar with cards/magic etc whom is a magician whether serious worker or hobbiest would likely get it down in half that time or sooner. Hope that helps.
Richard asks: I have one more following question, I see on the trailer you can make this look like a deck inside a card box. If so is that true? Can you customize the gimmick & dress it up as a Card Box? Thanks again! :)
- 1. Darryl responds:Hi Richard :) Yes - it’s all covered as an options for you to set it up as per your preference and performing style.
Gideon asks: Would be helpful to see the mechanics to differentiate between other indexes and make an informed purchase decision. We all know what an index is and the purchase decision for everyone will be guided by if this method fits their needs above others im sure people would agree.
- 1. Darryl responds:Think of it like a mechanical device with your thumb as the engine that drives it…but due to how the different built in components work alongside its engine(thumb) your thumb has such easier time easily locating any freely named card in a moment to few seconds with simple set up for invisible card extraction. The operation or thumb movement is so small…like the bigger action covers the smaller action sorta thing going on with these action or movement happening in seconds…there is a lot of in depth teaching in the instructional content…we have really left No stone un-turned here for you.
- 2. Marco responds:We all agree, but not on a public forum
- 3. Marco responds:too late :))
- 4. Andrew responds:I think trying to describe a non-mechanical item as ‘mechanical’ is a tad disingenuous and, at the very least, confusing. It simply seems to be exactly what it looks like - a, possibly 3D printed, plastic case. Don’t get me wrong, I am genuinely interested in this product and whether or not it is easier to use than other devices available.
- 5. Darryl responds:No worries - I respect your opinion - however the inner workings of the unit is not just a 3D printed case - a lot more going on than just that with regard to other inner workings that all work together when it’s loaded with a deck of cards is all….cheers
Richard asks: Hello! My question is regarding the safety pins. do I need to safety-pin this to do this with this effect for when it’s in the pocket?! Thanks.
- 1. Darryl responds:This will depend on pocket depth of your pant or shorts used.
Jonathan asks: Is there a moving part on the device that helps with the extraction?
- 1. Darryl responds: No…it’s a mechanical device with your thumb being the engine that drives it. Very simple invisible extraction.
