Customer reviews for Scorpion Table (Stage or Close-Up)

Richard
Well, this is interesting. The parts of the table are assembled by a system I've never seen before. The legs and the flanges under the table surface are attached to a grooved central pole by expanding metal tongues. The height of the table is adjusted by flaring the the three legs — the wider they are open, the lower the table. This allows for only minimal height adjustment. All this is very clever, but the table is nowhere near as sturdy as I would have liked. An animated cups and balls routine causes the table to jiggle noticeably and disconcertingly.
The table comes with a custom carrying case with dedicated pockets for each component — the legs, the flanges, the table top, and the two-part central pole.
That said, the table is serviceable and practical to transport. I have the close-up version for which you'll need a 23 X 16 close-up pad, not included.

    • 2. Richard responds:Well, this question never got answered, but I bought it anyway. The working dimensions of the table top are 23 X 16, FYI.
