To say this is a great download or show is an understatement. I’ve followed Joshua’s work since 2009. He has never disappointed. But this show of his is a firestorm of absolute wonder I have never encountered before in my lifetime. I’m a theater kid at heart so I really do care to know how everything was done. But not the magic itself. That’s where the wonder lies. What I truly want to know is this…..how did he create a magic show so intimate, engaging, and awe-inspiring as he just did? I’ll just say this….he did it with BRILLIANCE!!!! Thank you, Josh.

Have you ever seen somebody so proficient in their art that it fills you with pure awe?

I've seen a lot of magic shows in my 26 years in the Art. But none of them are like Joshua Jay's "Six Impossible Things". This was an intimate journey that felt personal and moved me with each effect.

Much as with another reviewer, I finished watching the show, but feel hesitant to watch the explanations. I want to keep the magic alive more than I want to know how it was done. Not because the "tricks were cool", but because they each told a story and I feel like I would be ruining that story by pulling back the curtains.

Definitely worth the asking price, multiple times over.

Very well produced, engaging, and insightful. There are very few videos which detail how to put together and hone a show. I greatly appreciated Joshua Jay detailing the thought/logic behind why he structured his show in the way he did, how he found the venue to perform, and how he knew which material to cut from his performance. Excellent value, certainly recommend it.

What more can be said with this. I can't believe i didn't get to see this in person. Joshua knows how to captivate the audiences attention with both presentation and showmanship.

This without a doubt is one of the greatest magic shows I've ever watched. From the stories being told to demonstrating truly impossible routines, this is one download that every magician needs to have.

My favorite part of this download would have to be the hidden impossible thing. And if you want to know what that is, then you know what to do.

This show from Joshua Jay is incredible good. The creativity is exceptional. After watching the show only, I had so many own ideas, it was inspiring me extremely.
However, after watching the explanation part I was even more inspired as he is also describing all the tricks which never got into the show or were changed over the time.
The value for money you get is enormous. I was not aware of the deluxe version originally and without a description in a Newsletter from Vanishing I would not even know from it. I can only recommend everyone to get this video.

I could not stop watching this show. And then...the explanation! OMG I was so thrilled, and so impressed with the creativity and quite frankly, the generosity of sharing the journey, the nuts and bolts behind the scenes, the creativity, the trial and error...this is the BEST download I have ever had. Sure, it shows the how to for the illusions, which are fantastic, but every time he speaks, some new nuggets of priceless wisdom come out. Thank you so much for this treasure. One for the ages.

I rarely feel compelled to review products or videos, but after watch "Six Impossible Things," along with the explanations, I simply have to announce how worthwhile watching this video was to me. Since I'm already very knowledgeable with magic and sleight-of-hand methods, it's rare that I am fooled but this show set me back on my heels several times! While I was able to partially determine methods, I don't believe I sussed out the complete method to any one of the Josh's tricks. This was an amazingly creative production, owing to the inventive and clever minds of Josh and his crew. Kudos to all involved in this! I just wish I could have experienced the show live. I got this on sale and it is so very worthwhile, I'm urging all aspiring magicians to please purchase and study this video; old timers, too, will learn something. I sure did!

There are numerous gems sprinkled throughout this video that might not catch your eye if you’re only focusing on how impossible things were made possible. It gives you insight into the development and execution of a successful modern style parlor show, of which there are not all that many. The video contains the nuts and bolts about how Jay assessed the market, decided what would be a unique idea for a show, secured a venue, created the type of environment that suited the show’s concept, and how he and his crew marketed the show. The video drives home the point that improvements to a show don’t stop once the doors open and it describes the importance of conducting a post-mortem after shows using audience feedback and Jay’s and his crew’s impressions of what was hitting and what wasn’t. This ongoing dedication to improvement is a major point as many magicians not infrequently fall into the trap of just going through the motions and dropping the little details here and there that gave life to the show (assuming that they ever actually entertained their audience).
The video does not shy away from emphasizing the sheer effort, not to mention significant expense, that went into Six Impossible Thing’s continual improvement and I wouldn’t be surprised if the constant innovation not only made the show better, but helped keep it fresh. At the same time, those innovations included replacing entire segments - including favorite routines that just weren’t landing or interrupted the show’s flow and pace.
You can tell that Jay and the crew were proud of what they put together. I regret not seeing Six Impossible Things in person but am grateful for this record of it. Jay is a credit to magic and this video is as fascinating as it is inspirational.

I recently watched Joshua Jay’s Six Impossible Things (Show and Explanations Edition). Experiencing the show in 4K was incredible—I felt like I was right there with him, moving through the rooms and witnessing every effect up close. The behind-the-scenes explanations were just as fascinating; seeing how Josh plans his choreography, timing, and audience interactions really opened my eyes to how much thought goes into creating a memorable performance. I haven’t applied any of these techniques yet, but I’m genuinely excited to start experimenting with them in my own practice. Already, I’m thinking about how to improve my pacing, make small details more engaging, and turn simple tricks into something that feels magical for an audience. Even as a viewer, it’s inspiring and has given me a lot of confidence that I can gradually take my magic to the next level.

If something is great, it's inspirational to get a 'behind the scenes' look at the journey to get to that point. To see the choices that had to be made. To be stimulated creatively and to be inspired to try new things and perhaps use 'old' stuff in completely new ways.
