The trick is great. The video, well, it's rambling, unscripted, and free form. For example, just when you're on the verge of learning the essentials, you sit through a long, irrelevant, self-serving, anecdote about Bobby Motta! This is a drum I've been beating for a long time, but tricks with video links with rambling explanations have increasingly replaced well-thought-out directions with appropriate illustrations as the way to learn magic these days. Video has its place — the teaching of much magic could be improved with short clips to accompany written directions — but a video of over an hour that covers about two pages worth of terse explanation is lazy, sloppy, and amateurish.
As I said, the trick is great, but you will be at the mercy of Wayne Fox, and particularly David Penn for longer than might prove comfortable.
Though the demo video shows an ideal succession of outcomes, you can achieve comparable, if not identical, results with the deck as provided. I'll use this, but I'm not sitting through the video again!

The effect is a cool effect, and while the trick is clever, it allows for absolutely no examination by the spectator. With modern street audiences so skeptical and wanting to be hands on, this really makes it so I can't use this trick

Although some 'work' is not shown in the trailer, this is an excellent gimmicked pack of cards that allows you to perform one of the strongest and fairest versions of the 'Think a Card' plot in modern card magic.
With a few questions you can seemingly ascertain the exact identity a spectator has thought of out of a 52 card deck, but then go onto cutting to the card, having them cut to the card, predicting it or even revealing the card has vanished and appeared to another location (Such as in Derren Brown's famous 'Smoke' effect). Not only that, but you can repeat it immediately after or to multiple people at once.
Many are apprehensive at the thought of a one trick deck, which this is, but the effect possible with 5221 is certainly one of the best you can do with a deck of cards that can't as adequately or fairly be done with a standard pack. Whilst not examinable, if handled right the spectator need not suspect any foul play with the deck, after all you show them the entire deck to be different and they only think of a card rather than select one, the effect is so fair you can sincerely convince them that what you are doing is real if you are capable of selling it.

You got to love this one. The effect is just as presented. Actually quite easy to learn. The hardest part of this, is getting over your own apprehension, that this actually works. Trust me and trust yourself. The linked instructions are very thoural.

The effect is very strong and I like it very much. The trailer does not show all the steps necessary for finding a spectator's card but I think in this case it's ok (they don't want to reveal the method). Unfortunately without the extra step the trailer suggests that the effect is a bit stronger than it really is.

Now the downsides. The first one is that the trick requires a practice and the main routine can go wrong if you are not able to get a specific piece of information from you spectator. Video instructions show ways around this but the routine is not bulletproof if the spectator does not collaborate. The second downside is that the deck cannot be fully inspected. Spectators should not want to inspect it because they saw the cards at the beginning but the fact is that you don't end clean.

Great magic trick, not just a great card trick. Worth more than the asking price. Ingenious concept, excellent gaffed cards, very thorough video tutorial and extra Tips to make the trick a miracle. Buy it and perform it, just don’t try to follow it with another card trick, that would be anticlimactic. When I perform it, I say nothing about mentalism or mind reading. I do emphasize the spectator only thought of a card and no one but them could possibly have any idea what the card might be. I also perform the trick just once. I don’t repeat it. To repeat it might lesson the effect and leave the idea that it might be automatic. I prefer to let the spectators believe I can find a thought of card with no manipulation. Just direct magic. That is what the 52 to 1 looks like: real magic.

- 1. James responds:I won't answer everything, as that is approaching exposure territory. I will say that when performed properly, it is utterly reliable. If you choose to not practice and rehearse, then the reliability will lessen.

It takes a little practice and in the trailer Wayne Fox is really bold .Things don't work out that way, especially if you have extra pair of eyes at table looking at the spread.Best if you do it one-on-one. Also be careful a spectator who reacts with the deck in their hands as you can see if they're throwing it up in the air. that's the end of your night buddy.
