“The Bat System FAQ
Does “The Bat System” work with ordinary playing cards?
No. You must use the included deck of cards as it has been specially-designed with it’s own RFID system. Each deck has a different code and reader combo. So you won’t ever have to worry about any interference, even if you own two RFID decks.
Does the spectator need to place their card in a certain place?
The large range of the reader is incredibly accurate within about a 2 meter range. They won’t have to do anything special with the card. However, above ~2 meters, and up to the max range ~3 meters, it is possible that the reader has to be pointed toward the cards for the best accuracy and quickest results.
Does the sensing range vary within the different objects?
Yes, the max 3-meter sensing range for the reader applies to the playing card and ESP cards only. Since the RFID chips in the poker chips and blank tags are smaller, the sensing range is roughly 10 centimers.
How long does the battery last?
“The Bat System” has a great battery life of up to 3 hours for the monitor and nearly 2 hours for the reader. So you can set it up long before your show begins. There is also a battery percentage indicator on the monitor for both itself and the reader, so you’ll always be able to perform with confidence.

The built-in technology works flawlessly. I tested with the receiver 15 feet from the transmitter, it read the cards almost immediately.
You can even deal several cards at a time onto a table and each will be presented on the screen of the receiver. It even has a gambler’s mode where up to five hands of five will be displayed remotely.
Included in the kit are RFID poker chips and ESP cards. In addition, extra RFID chips, that could be hidden in any object are enclosed. The possibilities are unlimited.
The transmitter easily fits into a regular tuck box. They do supply a card box that has an opening in the rear for peeking the receiver if needed. The reliever can be magnetically attached to the transmitter. The combined unit then fits perfectly inside with the window of the receiver exposed.
The RFID cards are a bit thicker and heavier than a normal deck. They come in a box modified to accommodate the extra thickness of the cards.
The product itself is wonderful. So far, in my experience, it works as advertised.
I’m deducting one star because the tutorial is only around 20 minutes long. No live performance videos or suggested applications were included. This is close to a $1000 product! The tutorial barely touched on the bare essentials. Is this a trend in expensive electronic devices? I recently purchased the Pitata White board, another costly item. Again the tutorial was very skimpy.
