Richard asks: Does this come with the prepared ribbon as described in the Wonder books?
- 1. Jim responds:It does come with a ribbon!
Gerald asks: In "The Books of Wonder, Vol. II", there are three methods described. Am I correct that this prop is for the second method (pages 280-289)?
- 1. Jim responds:You are correct.
- 2. Reinhard responds:but to my understanding, at least in the book, version 2 also benefits from a special table!?
- 3. Ron responds:I agree with Reinhard - it looks like the second method may require a special table. I'm in contact with a vendor on Etsy whom made me my other magic tables to see if this is of interest to him to make one for me.
- 4. Gary responds:At 1:03:00+ on the visions of a wonder #3 Tommy tells Max the he “Had a Table that he could throw the watch into” it is also shown in Books of Wonder. However, he only states you need a table to put the box in - not the special table. Personally, I don’t think you need a special table and as someone interested in watches, I would never “Throw” a borrowed watch anywhere. Unless one really knows watches and you know what not to borrow, if you throw an expensive watch and it bounces down the table load it could be damaged. Which will not end up well for the magician. As long as you vanish the watch - add a time delay - reach under the table and load the watch, then you don’t really need the special table. The boxes allow for easy loading and a great reveal. I think that is all we could ever ask for in an object in impossible place trick.
Richard asks: As performed by Tommy Wonder, a very special table is essential to this version of his Nest of Boxes. Am I correct in assuming that the table is NOT provided with this purchase?
- 1. Jim responds:This is the second method, and it does not need a special table.
