Customer reviews for Refill Solid Bubbles for Bubble Sharpie and Bubble Wand

Dan
These are good quality. They are very round and smooth with no seams, bubbles, wavy surfaces, or other problems. They feel heavy for their size, like glass not plastic, and sound like glass when tapped together. The "black velvet carrying pouch" that I received is silvery gray and feels more like a windbreaker than anything resembling velvet; but it's sturdy and high quality, with a premium drawstring if you care about that. The whole package feels well made.

I have only two gripes. One is my own fault: I read "22mm" and thought, "that's almost an inch: pretty big". These are actually fairly small: like large marbles, or average grapes, or pitiful cherries. I was picturing something a bit bigger, but again, I was just picturing it wrong. The description is correct. So it's not a problem, but be aware of what you're getting.

It's a perfectly workable size, I think. But I don't have the specific devices it's supposed to go with, so I don't know how well it visually matches the actual bubbles they tend to produce. (It's nice if you can "catch" a real bubble that's about the same size as the solid version.)

My second gripe is the color. The spheres I received are not perfectly colorless, like various acrylic spheres I've used as solid bubbles. Instead, these have a weird grayish bluish cast. It's much more subtle than the extreme yellow tint you might expect from looking at the title photo, but they have a noticeably "dark" appearance compared to normal glass. I've seen similar color casts in some "unbreakable" plastic drinkware, but never quite this color. Nor is it the familiar green cast of some types of glass. It's kind of aqua-gray. I don't like it.

Now, I'm very picky about details; other people might not mind or even notice the color. It could even be considered an advantage: a magically created solid bubble should look a bit different from a regular non-magical marble. But personally, I don't like how these look, and I might not use them. Even if I don't, though, the price is so low that I can't complain. Even if it's not quite what I wanted, it's definitely a quality product at a very reasonable price.
