RD360

This just might be the "holy grail" of Cube Magic. The ultimate cube utility or cube-solving prop
"RD360" is an unbelievable shell that fits over a cube and locks into place, so even a spectator can hold it. Then (and this is the part that is hard to believe), you can twist the cube with the shell on it. How does it work? You need to see it to believe it.
Henry Harrius has evolved his hit sensational cube trick from 2017. This new "RD360" is the perfect companion to the original, but allows you to do many new and exciting things. The tutorial is 70 minutes long and features 8 new routines, including the Akira Solve, which is visual madness.
From this shell alone you can construct the perfect routine: the spectator mixes a cube, you place it in a paper sack, and then the SPECTATOR removes the cube...solved. The bag is empty, everything is clean. MIRACLE!
What's included:
- Handmade gimmick
- A regular RD Regular Cube (the first cube designed especially for magicians)
- A set of stickers (including plenty of extras)
- Full video instructions
- Access to a thriving Facebook group for all RD360 members.
NOTE: For best results, pair it with an "RD Regular Cube". This shell set is also perfect for "Cube in Bottle Project".
"BEST utility device I have ever seen. I'm adding it into my show today!" Steven Brundage
“I LOVE all of Henry’s work. It’s beautiful, visual, and practical. I can’t wait for RD360” Shin Lim
“RD360 is definitely one of the best answer. The audience will feel a real magical moment.” Takamiz Usui
“Henry Harrius does it again! The 360° shell makes cube magic so deceptive while making it so simple to perform.” Karl Hein
"This is AMAZING! A perfect solution that opens up new doors for Cube Magic.. Bravo! " Nicholas Lawrence

So Henry sent me an advanced copy of Rubik's 360 a while ago and I have loved playing with it! I has so many possibilities!
To be fair you will see my name listed in the bonus routines...but I did not receive any compensation from Henry for this project. After seeing what I came up with he asked me if I would be willing to add it into the bonus material. Also, I am a full time professional magician. Tricks for video only are super fun, but I work in front of real people every week . I need something that can be used show after show that looks as good as the "For Video Only" tricks. I think Rubiks 360 is this powerful!
First thing I noticed when playing with Rubiks 360 is the same quality that came with the original Rubik's Dream! (and works with the same standard RD regular cube that Rubik’s Dream does) It look so insanely real that I now have no problems pouring out the S***L into a spectator's hand or even letting the spectator pull it out of the bag themselves (as seen on the trailer). Honestly the gimmick looks so real that when I see it next to normal cubes on my desk I don't know which is which until I pick them up!
My favorite thing about Rubiks 360 though is the locking system. It is such an ingenious idea that I don't know why it hasn't come out before!! When engaged you can throw everything in the air without any worries.
The 8 featured routines by Henry on the tutorial are a combination of classic ideas (and now finally made available to everyone...whether you are a finger flicker one hand solver or have no concept of how to solve a cube) and some new incredible ideas (also available to both sets of people!) This new incredible system in my opinion has opened rubik's cube magic to the general hobby-ist as much as the "enchanted cube" did back in the 70s. I plan to teach and let my 7 year old perform with it very soon!
Like I said this new gimmick means that you do not have to know how to solve a cube at all to perform it!! However, if you want to learn Henry suggests a great how that will teach you.
The 3 bonus routines are amazing...BUT the best is the AKIRA SOLVE!!! It looks like how a super genius superhero on a movie would solve a rubik's cube...where everyone would claim they used CGI or something! Just as amazing as the Block Solve (that was featured on Rubik's Dream)...This is an incredible instant solve...if you are willing to put in the work! I have performed it now in over 20 shows and the only draw back I can see so far is that everyone believes that you are using a gimmicked cube. Easiest way to solve that is to simply hand them the cube. Granted when I performed this in my local club I had one member convinced for 20 mins that I had switched the cube or something. It is knuckle busting sleight of hand that is worth the hours of practice put in!
So whether you are a full time professional like myself who is willing to put in the hard core practice for the crazy finger flicking stuff....or if you are simply a hobby-ist who wants to mess with a couple friends' minds at your house...I can fully recommend Rubiks 360!
The only criticism I have is the ad-copy does not mention that you must make a decision for the type of routines you want to perform before setting up the gimmick. There is the solved state and the matching state. It is not practical to try and switch between the two. To perform all of the routines taught on the video it is probably best to have two of the gimmicks.
This is a great product and I am really looking forward to immersing myself developing more mind-blowing routines.
Here's hoping replacement gimmicks will be available in the future so it won't be necessary to buy two complete sets to perform all of the routines.

No real Rubiks cubes look like that. I showed it to one person and they said it was not the same cube.

Henry's instructions are terrific and allowed me to put it into my show almost immediately. I am using the two cube version with the paper bag and it is getting tremendous reactions from every audience I have performed it for.
I love Rubik Cube magic and have purchased most versions and DVD's that have been released. I can easily say the this product is the best stand-alone version out there, especially for those of us who are not real cube solvers. It is so good that it has inspired me to actually learn how to really solve a cube, so I can enhance this routine even more. I can't recommend this highly enough!
The only question is whether or not it's better than the (more expensive) Easy Cube gimmick. I own and use both, and I prefer the Easy Cube gimmick for anything where the spectator handles the cube — it's just a thinner, more convincing shell — but for stage purposes I have used the RD360 in combination with the original RD to create routines I can't do with the Easy Cube gimmick even if I had two of them (because the original RD has properties that the RD360 and Easy Cube gimmick don't have).
The cubes that work with the RD shells are slightly bigger than the Easy Cube cubes. Because Vanishing Inc sells them easily and cheaply, you can build up a system of gimmicks (incorporate that other four sided shell that somebody makes... Perfect Square, I think?) and extra cubes (make your own Enchanted Cubes, for example) to create a wider variety of routines.
So I would say that the RD stuff is more flexible and expandable if you're looking to create original routines. But Easy Cube does the specific thing it does a little better, especially for close up or situations where the spectator handles the cube.
This is a very good product, though, with no real downsides.
With Rubiks Dream (RD) and Rubiks Dream 360 (RD360) you can do almost all the existing past and current Rubiks effects out there, and you don't need to learn to how to solve a cube. Having said that I would suggest that you do so that it gives your performance a sense of realism and credibility. The RD was good in its day before RD360 came along in that you could show all 6 sides (really 5 and a pseudo 6th). With RD360 you can do the same effect but genuinely show all 6 sides solved.
There are pros and cons to every effect. The only con I see is that the both RD and RD360 require a bag or some means of cover to do the solve. As opposed to another product on the market 'Perfect Square' which does not need a bag. However with 'Perfect Square' you cannot show all 6 sides of the cube.
My routine:
To justify the use of the bag I use the 'Sucker Solve' (which does use a bag) with RD360 not as a blatant sucker effect but as a joke on me - having shown a bag and asking the audience to guess what is inside you take out your cube pass it round the audience to be mixed then say you will solve it not with your hands but with your mind and you don't even need to see it. Put it in the bag do the Sucker Solve. Show the cube has been solved. Of course the audience don't believe you and you show the other cube (RD360) still messed up. It is important here to put in some 'time misdirection'. You can do a couple effects from Cube3 or CubeFX (get these - highly recommended) with the regular cube like the 'Imagination Solve' and employ a 'False Shuffle' to make it appear more mixed than it really is. Solve it. The finale comes when you claim you will solve the cube one more time. Unbenownst to the audience you mix the cube to the same pattern as the RD360 - Claim you have solved the cube. The audience will look at you quizzically then show that ALL 6 sides of both the regular cube and RD360 match - A miracle !!! As an encore if this pattern was the 'Akira Solve' you can prove that you can solve it in an instant.
One advantage I see RD has over RD360 is with the mini-cube set. With that you can do 'Rubiks Nightmare' or one of my favourites the cube to smarties (if in the UK) or skittles (or what have you). There is a cuteness factor and the ladies love it.
The 'real' downside is that I would like to have two RD360s one in a solved state and the other in a special pattern be it the 'Akira Solve' pattern or the 'Instant Solve' pattern from Cube3, without the need to buy the entire package again. Do second shells come at a cheaper price ?
I must say that credit should go to Takamitsu Usui for his wonderful DVD 'The Cube' that indirectly started the craze. Indirectly because most would be familiar with Steven Brundage's Cube3 which made Rubiks Cube magic popular through his appearance on 'Penn & Teller Fool Us'. He has since acknowledged credit to Takamitsu Usui.
If you do cube magic, you need to have this. If you don't do cube magic - you should probably get this and start because you'll be hooked.
The bonus material included in the tutorial is worth half the price of the entire product and you get that for free.
Pay close attention to the stickers and their little sleeves... As I was putting stickers onto the RD 360, I found myself wishing that the stickers were slightly larger than normal, to more closely resemble the Cube itself. Well, Henry Harrius thought of that, too. But you've got to use the correct stickers. This package includes both stickers for a cube, and stickers for the RD 360. The latter are indicated with a little "S" written on the sleeve containing the stickers.
One other wish I have regarding RD 360: I wish it were possible to by another of the main part of this package, without having to purchase the extra stickers, nor especially the video instructions. I like to assume that over half of the fair price we pay for things like RD 360 is the secret and the instructions that reveal it. For this sort of thing, which could be configured in multiple ways, but not in a truly dynamic way, being able to purchase portions of the package would be beneficial.
As for the video instructions: They are well done, if repetitive. They are digital stream or digital download (not DVD). Yes, they can be downloaded. I think that is a good delivery method for video instructions.
The cube work smooth as expected.
You will have to put the stickers by yourself so you can put it in any position you like.
You also get allot of extra stickers.
The magnets are already in the cube so you are good to go after the stickers are up.
A bit pricy as always in Henry Harrius stuff.

The 90-minute instructional video is packed with value, featuring multiple routines, including the Akira Solve - a beautiful, split-second magical moment that never fails to impress. If you don’t already own Venom Cube, the RD360 also opens the door to powerful matching cube routines, expanding your performance possibilities.
One of my favorite ways to perform RD360 is by allowing the spectators to hold the bag themselves and remove the solved cube. Thanks to the clever and secure design of the gimmick, it's completely safe for them to handle during the reveal. Almost every time, they peek into the bag first - only to freeze with a shocked expression - before dramatically showing the solved cube to the rest of the audience. It’s a moment of pure magic.
RD360 is a must-have for any cube magician looking to elevate their performance with a real moment of wonder. The only downside is the high price, but I personally cannot live without it at this point in my career.

Sam asks: Does the shell come with a solved puzzle on the cube or do you use the extra stickers to create the order you want on the cube, such as for the cube in bottle match? Thanks - Sam B.
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:The gimmick comes blank with stickers for you to create the desired pattern.
Michael asks: Is this the updated 3.0 version?
- 1. Michael responds:Disregard. I noticed this has been answered. Thank you!
Stephen asks: I am a local Santa Claus. Can I perform this wearing white, cotton gloves?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:There is a really small chance that the glove could get snagged in the gimmick but if you hold the cube at your finger tips, you shouldn't have a problem.
Barry asks: Do you need to get another regular cube that is non gimmicked or does this include one non gimmicked already? If it includes a non gimmick cube, is an additional cube recommended? I’m new to cube magic and don’t have any yet. Thanks.
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:You will receive the gimmick and a gimmicked cube. If you want to do a matching routine then you'll need another regular cube.
Joel asks: Hello, HH website labels the latest version as ‘3.0’ & says it’s more realistic looking. May I please ask if this the one you are currently shipping out? Thank you kindly,
- 1. Jim responds:We always carry the newest version.
Kenny asks: Is this the newest 3.0 edition or the older 2.0 edition?
- 1. Jim responds:This is the newest version that Henry makes.
Keith asks: What is the skill level to perform this? Are there any difficult moves?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Apart from knowing how to solve a cube (or knowing your way around a cube), it's a relatively easy trick to perform. I would say it's intermediate.
Roman asks: From what I understand the Rubik's Dream - Three Sixty Edition was upgraded to have m****ts in the top S***L. At the time the upgrade was made and the offer to send in our Rubik's - Three Sixty Edition for free upgrade, I was in the middle of my second son being born. How do I go about getting the upgrade? My S***L comes off occassionally in performance, and I'd really love to fix this. Also, if I buy an extra Rubik's - Three Sixty Edition, will this be the upgraded version. Thank you Roman Alexander
- 1. Jim responds:You might want to contact Henry Harrius about the upgrade: https://hhpresents.com/pages/contact-us
John asks: I love this illusion, but I'm always worried about what happens when "plenty of extras" finally run out. Since I don't know the trick, I don't know whether each performance uses up a sticker, or they are reusable. And where do we get replacements? Thanks a million, JT
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:The product comes with extra stickers, in case you need them. If you need more, you can contact customer service at Magic@VanishingIncMagic.com
Cynthia asks: How much time does it take to reset?
- 1. Sgkyduyen responds:It will take around 10 seconds
