Denmark's Rune Klan is back with an elegant coin sequence that is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for formal performances. He developed this routine to be performed for a parlor audience, and you'll see how he expertly uses the glass to amplify the visuals AND signal the magic with an auditory "klink." The best part is that this is a rare case wherein his intelligent use of a shell makes the entire routine pretty easy. Only basic coin handling is used.
When we first saw Rune perform this routine, we knew it had it all: quick, visual, auditory magic that leaves lots of room for interaction and stunning moments of magic. In addition, we include Rune Klan’s HILARIOUS torn and restored newspaper. This is comedy-magic gold. You crumple a sheet of newspaper and violently peck pieces off of it in a haphazard manner. When you unfold the paper again, you display that you have torn the paper perfectly into the shape of Star Wars villain Darth Vader. Of course, you can display any cutout you want, but this unexpected, silly routine has garnered Rune huge reactions in his one-man show. Now he shares the work with you! As you can imagine, the trick (and Rune’s explanation) are pure fun, as well as helpful.

Rune is so funny and his magic is amazing and fooling. The newspaper trick cracked me up and caught me totally off guard.
The explanation was just as much an experience as the performance was. Funny, engaging and comprehensive. Also, I'm really impressed with Vanishing Inc.'s production quality nowadays. The video looks great!!

I bought this download for the newspaper tear, and the explanation leaves a lot to be desired. What should I do first? Second? Third? What supplies do I need? How long does it take to make? I can make some guesses by watching and pausing the video, but I am still confused and frustrated after watching the explanation 5 times. I am not very crafty and would have appreciated a more step-by-step explanation. Maybe others will have better luck understanding the explanation for the newspaper tear, but I am lost.

When I choose to perform a magic effect I don’t care about the simplicity or complexity of the method if the effect is powerful, if it feels like real magic is worth the practice. Klink really feels like magic, not a single move is funny or weird, all the moves are natural, this is what makes the difference between someone that creates a trick and someone who creates magic, and Rune Klan created great magic. It is not difficult to do and Rune does a great work teaching it!
At the end he teaches you a newspaper tear to make Darth Vader that is hilarious! This is a bonus effect that you probably will use.

Being new to Coin magic and spending months agonising over tricky sleights, I decided to take the path of least resistance and invest in some gimmicks. Rune is an amazingly innovative magician and who better to turn to for imaginative coin magic. This routine has been perfect for me and has also lead me to combine this effectively with some other ideas.
I would highly recommend this to anyone involved in coin magic, I also own the “three pieces of silver “ dvd and Rune klan’s work is incredibly well executed and explained.

Any coin magician knows how to do this routine. I purchased the download in the hope of learning new subtleties and found two that I would not have thought of.
The newspaper tear reminded me of the Gene Anderson tear that I did long ago. The cut out doesn't need to be Darth Vader if you are willing to noodle your arts and crafts ;)
In the end, I don't know if I will use either of these effects, but I might use some of it in my other bits.

Rune Klan has a very special kind of humor and comedy, a sometimes "crazy" way of doing things, intuitively found and cherished as strange presents of his soul. All of that thinking magic all the way and very effective magic as in this coin effect. Perfectly thought so that it can be easily understood and learned and nicely presented to your public. I love a lot the cleanness of the handling and the transparency of the glass suggesting a fairness of presentation throughout.
Saying all that I am not sure whether I am not loving still more than the coins the really fantastic newspaper tear resulting in "Dark Wader".

My only complaint about this video is its length. I wish there was more "Rune time" ... You just got to love the guy. He's so funny and very much in love with his craft. The explanations are good and even the newspaper tear is very understandable even if Rune doesn't give you a proper step by step instruction. You get to know everything you need to do it yourself. I'm very satisfied.

This is a great little piece of magic. I have some rather cheap and inexpensive Chinese coins. Which I have always found hard to use in any coins across routine due to the dull sound they produce when knocked together. At last I have found a use for them. Great routine, easy to learn, no knuckle busting moves. If you're looking for Something quick and impressive this is it.

What a great twist on this illusion. Using sight and sound to reinforce the effect was a great touch. I was happy to be able to use this right away in my set. The newspaper effect was a great bonus. I'd never heard of Rune Klan before but I'm glad I went with this as he's a great teacher.

Devious and innocent. What a remarkable routine! Love the loose presentation...does away with the often ostentatious posturing of a coin act. Rune is a loon (in the best way, of course).

A well-devised routine that requires no more than intermediate level manipulation skills. The use of the glass is very clever and contains a move that is very simple but surprisingly effective. The Darth Vader newspaper stencil is a nice little bonus. Crystal clear video instructions. Good value for the price.

It's not easy to make a coin routine that looks interesting in parlour, and Rune managed to do it. The elements used and his presentation helps a lot, resulting in a funny routine filled with magical moments. Additionally, the newspaper effect is also very curious!

The coins across routine is not the newest but it's really great on subtleties and necessary motivations. However, I think the best part is really the phantom paper/paper cuts effect with darth vader at the end. I know it's really meant as a joke. It feels like a throw-away moment because he explains it so casually. I think i'm gonna use that a lot!! Can't wait to get my creative juices flowing!

Wow! Marvelous! A super clean routine, a few centimeters from the viewer's eyes with coins and their shell that literally leaves you with your mouth open. Really deceptive and super misleading. Rune Klan's performance is brilliant and I will definitely be bringing it to my shows. A great coin transposition idea that I know will work wonders.

He makes this look like "real" magic. He is fluid in his motions and timings to create anticipation and a sense of the impossible just happened. Once the explanation reveals what is happening, it is heartening to know extensive slieghts are not required, but never overlook how well he sells it. Well worth practicing!

Great commercial routine. I guess you can shorten some of the phases, and not ruin the integrity of this routine.I like it because it's easy for the spectators to follow. No odd, funny moves. Rune teaches in a very clear ,simple style, with everything you would need to know about learning this routine. When I was watching him perform ,I was wondering why he was doing certain things, but he explains this all in the explanation part. The last vanish of the coin ,could be sold separate for $500.00....lol. Thats how amazing it is. It filed me for months,until I finally bought this download. Highly recommended .
