Fantastic!
I've just watched week one and already, this is one of my favourite, if not the favourite, masterclass yet. John comes across as a simple down to earth guy and is immediately likeable, yet he presents professional level, entertaining, smart, commercial, and very doable material. Everything in this class is great, high quality stand up material and, because of how well thought out it is, easy to do.
Very impressive offering, I can't wait for week two.

Very good class! John taught us 5 tricks. He is honest about his strong points and weak points. It's encouraging that although he started in magic relatively late, and doesn't have top sleight of hand skills, he's been as successful as he has. There is hope for us! John's teaching is clear, including down to the fine points and subtleties. 1 or 2 of the tricks I may use, but the others I still learned from.

Top 5 Masterclass lecture so far. Great mix of theory and trick combined with down to earth character. Personally I would have loved to be taught his tnr newspaper but you cannot have everything.

Really good stuff! I can (and will) use some of these routines, but some don't fit my persona (not at all a problem -- to be expected). Getting even one good routine, or idea, usually is well "worth the price of admission." I have only one negative comment, and that is from almost at the very end of the video, where Mr Lovick says what he would say if someone comments about a blatant open force he has made. I find that quite disrespectful to the spectator; there are many other non-confrontive ways to address the issue. But all in all -- fist class stuff!

The John Lovick Masterclass turned out to be a lot more helpful than I expected, especially for someone like me who still considers myself more of an enthusiastic amateur than anything else. I’ve always heard other magicians talk about how smart Lovick is—whether as Handsome Jack, as the guy who helped shape Asi Wind’s show, or as the writer behind books I’m honestly still working my way through—so I was a little worried this would be way over my head. But the nice surprise is that everything is taught in a very clear, friendly way, and even the more advanced ideas feel doable with some practice. The tricks he teaches are solid and practical, but what stood out most to me were the little performance tips and the thinking behind why certain choices make the magic stronger. Since Lovick also teaches at USC, he naturally slips in small bits of theater advice that really opened my eyes to how much more I could be doing to make even simple tricks feel more meaningful. The Masterclass includes over four hours of material across two big sessions, plus performance footage, which helped me understand how things should actually look in front of people rather than just in practice. Overall, for someone still trying to grow and find their footing, this Masterclass made me feel like I actually took a real step forward.
