Esoteric Playing Cards

Partnering with Eric Jones, we’re thrilled to present a premium deck of marked playing cards that blends beauty and functionality unlike ever before.
Working alongside talented playing card designer Destino, the breathtaking custom back design and reimagined faces of the “Esoteric Deck” give it the look of a one-of-kind collectable. Each deck comes with two Jokers and is tucked into a matching custom tuck box with eye-popping foil embossing and no seal—a unique feature that allows you to open the case without damaging it.
The only thing that rivals the gorgeous aesthetic of “Esoteric Playing Cards” is its superior handling. Printed on Cartamundi’s world-class slimline stock with a B9 finish that is beloved by magicians around the world, the “Esoteric Deck” is the epitome of quality.
As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a deceptive marking system for both the suit and value cleverly infused into the intricate back design. To the untrained eye, it’s invisible. But, with just a quick study of the included marking explanation card, you’ll unlock a versatile tool for a variety of powerful card tricks and mentalism effects.
There are two different versions available to suit any style: the elegant Gold Edition and the chic silver Static Edition.
Customer reviews for Esoteric Playing Cards
So if you are looking for marked cards I would give it up...
So for an old magician like me you may have to peer closely or change your spectacles. I teach old grandads some magic to fool grandkids. They like marked cards including letters not numbers like AMC or Letter Regal.
Although lesson one is to teach how oldies can be magnetised to hold a utensil in an open palm. Grandkids like to catch the fooler out. And over 10 years old who want to be magicians can see the markings in the hard to see. I like to find face down cards at the chosen number with 8 Kings and SHCD sequence to display no marking.
If you can read the back the carried pack has more options
when asked to perform if the light and your sight are good.
Last month I had my cataracts removed and new lenses. Made marked cards easier.

HJ Skip asks: The card that comes with the deck that explains the marking system is very poor. Is there somewhere on this site or is there an instruction sheet that you can put in my download area that explains the markings in a much clearer way? I've looked at the key card and to tell you the truth I can't see how to read the cards.

Anthony asks: Hi, I know it says that you can read the markings from across the room, but my eyesight is pretty naff; I can read DC Elites from a good distance, but others such as Diamond Jim Tyler's, I can only read by holding them a foot from my face and scrunching my eyes up. So, where are these on that scale?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:You will need to look fairly close at the cards to see the markings. It's not a reader style marking system.
Nicholas asks: Does this come with a project? I heard he was doing a project with this deck.
- 1. Jim responds:Sorry—there is no project.
