Italian designers Mattia Santangelo and Angela Munteanu present a charming tribute to the Kiwi Bird. Native to New Zealand, these adorable birds are born without wings—preventing them from ever flying.
Kiwi Bird Playing Cards feature a delightful blue and green colorway, custom back design and original Ace of Spades. Each deck is tucked away in a matching themed card box inspired by Skipper Canyon in Queenstown, New Zealand. As a tongue-in-cheek nod to the flightless birds, this tuck case also features cute original illustrations of Kiwi birds using umbrellas like a parachute.
The face cards have been kept mostly standard to ensure familiarity, with the exception of the court cards, which have been reimagined to match the color scheme and feature Kiwi birds in place of the standard royal characters.
Kiwi Playing Cards were produced in collaboration with Italian magic shop and playing card creator AssoKappa and printed by Cartamundi.
