Metamorphosis!
By Ken Trombly -
Soon after the time that he was smitten with Beatrice “Bess” Rahner, a young Ehrich Weiss, then one half of the Houdini Brothers, professionally teamed up with his new girlfriend and soon to be life partner. This poster is surely one of the earliest existing remnants of that period—so early, that Bess shared equal billing with Harry, as half of “The Houdinis”. This wonderful one sheet poster, created by Liebler and Maass, featured a signature illusion that would help propel Harry into the big time. Given that he was a virtual nobody at the time that the poster was printed and used, it is a miracle that this artifact has survived!
