Rune's World: Appearing Opener
By Joshua Jay -
When I was writing Rune's World, Rune told me that he was particularly obsessed with openers. He liked that an opener had the natural advantage of WALKING OUT to the stage. You get to make an entrance, and this, in itself, can be funny. Also, an opener's opening line is the very first thing you say to an audience. Here, again, is an opportunity for humor, since where you say something can be as funny as what you say. Here's one of the openers Rune used that plays on a classic illusion magic show trope.
