Young Magicians Zoom Success!

By ShareMagic -

Our recent Zoom event for young magicians was an incredible success! Hosted by Carisa Hendrix, the gathering brought together aspiring magicians from around the world for an afternoon of learning, sharing, and, of course, lots of magic. With a lineup that included ShareMagic board member Andi Gladwin and "The Story Teller Magician" Taylor Hughes, this was truly an event to remember.

Showcasing Talented Young Performers

One of the event’s biggest highlights was the chance for several talented young magicians to perform for the group. These young performers amazed everyone with routines that would impressed even our seasoned magician hosts.

Micah J. kicked things off with a fantastic two-phase performance of "Profusion" by Jack Parker. His smooth handling and confident style set a high standard right from the start.

Grayson wowed us with a Pickpocket routine inspired by the Interlaced Vanish plot. His handling was perfect, blending sleight-of-hand skill with a touch of drama that had everyone on the edge of their seats.

Jameson brought a unique twist to the classic "Crazy Man’s Handcuffs." Not only did he perform flawlessly, but he also shared his new handling, which was an instant hit with the group.

Micah F. performed a brilliant three-coin routine, showcasing his versatility. Each coin had a unique “moment” in the routine, adding layers of surprise and creativity to his performance.

Learning and Connection

In addition to the live performances, the young magicians had the chance to ask questions and get advice from the pros. This interactive part of the event allowed them to gain insights that you just can't get from books or online tutorials. From character technique to handling nerves, Carisa, Andi, and Taylor provided guidance that left everyone feeling inspired and supported.

The magic wasn’t just limited to the tricks themselves. Watching young magicians connect with each other and share their passion reminded us of the power of community. These events are more than just gatherings—they’re places where friendships form, skills grow, and dreams take shape.

A Huge Thank You to the Vanishing Inc. ShareMagic Fund

This event was entirely free, thanks to the generous support of everyone who donated to the Vanishing Inc. ShareMagic Fund. Making magic accessible to everyone, especially the next generation of magicians, is at the heart of ShareMagic’s mission. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the donations that keep these experiences accessible and open to all. All of our hosts and guests gave up their time for free.

Our October Zoom hangout was a magical success, filled with unforgettable performances, valuable lessons, and meaningful connections. We’re already looking forward to the next event and can’t wait to see even more young magicians sharing their talents.

To everyone who attended—thank you for bringing your passion and energy. Keep practising, keep sharing, and we'll see you soon!
