My Favorite Card Tricks: Lee Smith
By Alex Robertson -
We asked some of magic's greatest minds to share with us their favorite card tricks. This week is the turn of Lee Smith. You may know him from his hit DVDs, The Step System. Over to Lee:

Ice Breaker. I hate to mention my own stuff but icebreaker would be my go to trick, and has been for around 10 years. I think it’s important to have a routine that builds and breaks the ice. Something that’s high impact and visual! I created this as it ticks all those boxes. It has been a staple in my act for years.
Ambitious card. It may seem cliché but for me ambitious card has to be a staple because it is modular and can have many different endings. I use scoop, card to envelope and omni deck. I feel ambitious card is an adaptive effect, and it’s so strong it should be in everyones act.
David Stone's Cell. This one for me is pure working gold. It's something I’ve been performing since it came out and I continue to carry around a mobile phone of an older style just for this one effect. This is card to any location on steroids and one of my most requested effects with regular clients. Pure gold!
